Thanks for showing these. I'm from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 & I can say that you get drivers like this in every state. Some people drive on the road like they think they own it. I held my breath for a number of these videos. These semi-trailer are the norm in Australia. Then you get places where you have a big distance to travel to get goods & livestock between places - these are the road-trains. They can be 2, 3 trailers long. The vehicle that was behind you was a twin cab ute with a storage box on the back. These metal boxes have flaps that swing up, or you can get ones that have normal doors on, but they all have locks on. I detest these two wheel scooters. They drive them at top speed without a helmet & just expect everyone to get out of their way. They don't pay attention to anything else except where they are going. Bike riders can be just as bad especially the ones that deliver parcels, documents & food. We are not allowed hold or use phones or cameras when we are driving. They have to be in a stand mounted to your vehicle. You can use a phone in your vehicle if you have pulled over in a safe legal place, so long as your engine is off & your hand/emergency brake is on. Watching some people try to park their cars is funny.

The woolies truck is a 22 wheeler. Three axles on the trailer 42.5 ton gross weight. 40 foot trailer
@Blandy0862 жыл бұрын
Hi Ian, love the vids mate. Breaking down the "pelican" in the Woolies truck... Firstly, what he did is not technically against our road rules... But, it is not ideal and from memory, it does violate safe operation rules as the trailer moved back without the operator being able to guarantee safety to anything behind it. It wasn't a controlled zone and there was no traffic control, ergo, the trailer should NEVER move backward for any reason. It would be a 48ft trailer. In Australia, we have strict axle weight limits, hence the tri-axle group under the trailer. In the US, trucks can run 53ft trailers with a GCM (Gross Combination Mass) of more than 48t. In Australia, a typical semi with a tri-axle 45ft trailer has a GCM of 42.5t. We can slightly increase this with "Mass Management" which is a regulated system the owner must undertake and operate that will ensure regular servicing, loading records, conformance reports, quarterly and annual audits etc... The standard axle load limits are; Tri Axle group (dual wheel - 12 wheels in the group) - 20.00t Drive Axle group (dual wheel - 8 wheels in the group) - 16.50t Steer Axle (single wheels - 2 wheels on the axle) - 6.00t We also have length limits for the following: Length overall - From the absolute front of the vehicle (this includes a bullbar) to the absolute rear of the trailer cannot exceed 19m (62.3ft) This is why cab-over trucks are so popular in Australia. The truck is shorter so the trailer can be longer. A typical "big bonnet" Kenworth in Australia (T909 with a 55" sleeper) will generally be limited to a 43-45ft trailer, depending on whether or not it has a bullbar fitted to the truck. There is also an "S Dimension" limit which states the center of a trailer's axle group (so the middle axle on a tri-axle trailer, or between the axles of a twin axle trailer.) cannot be more than 9.5m (31ft). This is why we Australian truckies get jealous of our brothers in the US. You guys have massive, luxurious 80+ inch sleepers with no penalty to trailer/vehicle overall length... In Australia, the bigger your sleeper, the shorter your trailer, ergo, the less you can earn. I say all this as many of my friends in the US see an Australian truck with a tri-axle trailer and assume it must be bigger than most semi trucks in the US, as the most common combination there is a twin axle group on the trailer. Tri-axle trailers in Australia are generally shorter than your typical US semi. Here is a link to the NHVR (National Heavy Vehicle Regulator) that breaks down mass and length limits in Australia. www.nhvr.gov.au/road-access/mass-dimension-and-loading/general-mass-and-dimension-limits#:~:text=for%20a%20combination%20other%20than,a%20car%20carrier%20%E2%80%9425%20metres

i wish helmet cams were a thing back in the 90s. once on my motorbike had a girl cross on a pedestrian crossing after the light had gone green for me. i had to do a full emergency stop to not hit her. wasnt until a little while after that i realised i sat there on my bike for over ten seconds without putting my foot on the ground and then road off. amazing what adrenaline does for you

With the first one i think they were trying to say, you're driving on the wrong side of the road! Woolworths are all contract drivers. One hit my sister when she was on a Suzuki bike. She's lucky to be alive.

Woolies truck was in campbelltown. If he needed to go back he should have just driven straight and gonaround the block

The hooner at aboit 9:00 appears to be driving a Nissan Skyline on a wet road. That thing has lots of power and its throttle is like an on off switch. You can be driving nice and slowly then press the throttle a fraction more and instantly have 200 Kw through the back wheels spinning you out. I hired one of those things and not knowing the driving characteristics, I did exactly the same thing this guy did. Fortunately it was at night with no cars around to witness my embarrasment

In South Australia unless you are in Adelaide (town) it is illegal to ride electric scooters in the suburbs and can incur up to a $1600 fine and a loss of points if you hold a licence. A Stupid law because you can ride electric bikes every where, just not scooters. I was told it was so those hire companies in town have a monopoly and its the only legal place you can ride them. But it doesn't mean you cant buy them (you can everywhere) just if the police or council decide to be nasty once you take them off your private property you could pay. The funny thing is we brought one for our daughter had a problem with it and took it back to exchange, when we were exchanging it i found the warning sign that was around the corner in different spot warning you of the consequences if you took the scooter out in public places in SA with the fines etc, so i asked if that was true they said "yes", i had a go at them for not displaying the sign correctly, then i told them to refund the money back. She got a bike instead. By law they had to display the warning sign clearly they even admitted it to me. People ride them everywhere here.

the first one was driving slow in the middle of the road so he couldn't pass on the right as you are supposed to so he passed on the left then gave them shit for it, but tottally oblivious that they are the ones driving like they own the road

The first the driver was on the wrong side of the road I’m sure the guy with the trailer was warning them they did move to the left and thus missed being hit by oncoming traffic

11:35 not excusing the car shooting the gap, but the camera car obviously should have moved left after the overtake as that person wanted to get past. Ignoring the "Keep left unless overtaking" rule results in everyone else making impatient moves.

We have a lot of Toyotas over here. Low maintenance, reliable and cheap to run. We have a Camry ourselves. I used to think it was the Volvo drivers that were the worst. Maybe they switched to Camrys. The ones I hate the most are the ones that are slowing you down and when you get to an overtaking lane, they speed up.
@nyneeveanya88612 жыл бұрын
I think the first guy was actually trying to get the cammer guy to move into the correct lane. Not the way I would have done it, I would have just kept going in the correct lane and hope the tourist figured it out. Which he did when there was a car coming at him.
