@@adrianbradley8513 - yes he is - a Roman Catholic I believe. Probably the reason why he doesn’t use bad words in his sketches EVER. For me personally I like that. Sadly, there are very few comedians around like that these days. The worst example that springs to mind that I could never follow because of his racist/homophobic so called ‘comedic’ presentations was the late Bernard Manning. Appalling character.

Very nice bloke, met him in person. The vicar at my local village church knows him, don't know how exactly. He managed to get him to come and do a show in the village recreation ground to help fund church repairs. Made a lot of jokes relating to our village, which shows he took time to do some research. Video might be on KZbin somewhere.

@@TheWarpseed Not sure. I know at his peak Bob and Denis Goodwin were writing around 7 hours of comedy a week, including a number of radio shows and much of Bob Hope's material. Monkhouse had the largest collection of off-air recordings of TV from the 70s until his death- tens of thousands of hours of every variety show and comedy ever broadcast- and 15 years later archivists are still going through it and cataloguing it.

I think that was very clever of Milton to rescue the "my nephew was an accountant joke". He had obviously worked out an additional punchline in case the original one didn't go down so well - It was slightly ruined by the person "woo-hooing" and Milton responding. I've seen him do the joke in front of other live audiences and they've loved the original punchline, and the follow up just built on that.
