Gary is such a lovely guy. I met him once at a comedy club near where I went to uni, and it turned out he was doing a show there the following week. He arranged discounted tickets for me and a group of friends from the university comedy society, and spent about an hour after the show chatting to us about his career and advice for aspiring comedians. We felt bad for taking up his time, but he didn't rush us at all, even when we asked if he wanted us to leave him alone.

Gary Delaney starts his shows by telling a range of jokes and checking the audience reaction. When he does the main part of his act his jokes are tailored to what the audience liked at the start. I have a ticket to see him next year and can't wait

"Sectioned" , comes up a lot in British Comedy. Its shorthand for being committed to a mental institution for an (indefinite) period of time under Section (?42?) of The Mental Health Act.
@jodders6193 жыл бұрын
Section 3 of the MHA. Will be reviewed at max 28 days and every patient has the right to a tribunal and a mental health advocate who is soley there to represent their interests. (Student nurse so I may not be totally accurate on time frames). Section 2 is for a voluntary stay in hospital.
