She has already revealed this song is about the state of Israel. Read the lyrics carefully! The unicorn is Israel, the Start Up nation. A unicorn is a tech company worth more than a billion dollars, and Israel is full of them. "You keep call me names, your not my enemy" = everyone criticizing Israel calling us names. "History caught in a loop, don't you wanna change it?", she means the history of the Jewish people including antisemitism ("Do you wanna check my DNA?"). The lyrics actually means a lot! And the instrumental at the end reminds very much the Israeli national anthem! WOW!

An Israeli here: Unicorn is about her uniqueness and the power she has from that, from her femininity (you said that unicorn is a powerful mystical creature for girls), she is funny and different by being on the ceiling and an actual horse as a joke and is her crazy dance… and at the end she is back in her first date and she waits for him to see her as the unicorn she is

So the meaning is Israel getting hate over the history and old stories. but we stand strong, going up and you better turn with your negativity away. Just listen to it again and think of Israel singing this song. it's really powerful.

Thank you ​ @Avi Dan for the details, this seems to be the best explanation out there! The lyrics support both of them. To all her neighboring countries, Israel stated time and time again "we are not your enemy!" (In the song "No, I'm not your enemy"). Also, the fact that the Jewish ppl are originated from ancient Israel ("Do you want to check my DNA"), and not a colonial foreign power, as falsely accused by it's enemies. And so on. The music also contains elements of the Israeli national anthem (called "Hatikva" - The hope)

Notice also the colors in the Music Video, they are very meaningful! (The ceiling is all-red, she wears all-black and switches to colorful outfits when she sings the Unicorn parts from black & white) And the fact that it's all upside-down! They are all very symbolic!

There are many motifs, beats and imagery integrated into this little video. I always wonder how many viewers and reaction-youtubers have noticed the tear dropping into a puddle below her head? The abrupt end seem to puzzle everyone, but I think that's a smart gimmick as if saying "then play it again, Sam".

Just for u 2 know lyrics explanation The unicorn is israel, unicorn is a word familiar with hightec companies and israel is known for its famous hightec companies. Israel is also like a unicorn among other countries cause its the only single Jewish country in the world. We are Simply asking why do u hate israel? Is it because what u have been told.. Is it because of our jewish dna... Is it because of history? So let us write a new one (like the bible). If u want to call us names dont do it... a suggestion at first but for the second time if u want to do it, i am going to stand here like the unicorn i am! strong as i am unique as i am. Out here on my own (refers to israel always defending itself against UN rediculus desicions) I wont look back i wont look down i m going up you better turn around. Now The total vibe of the clip at the beggining is like a thriller/spying movie, and every thing happens in another dimension. I like how people are surprised that the song is so short. And how so many people say "it's 5 songs mixed together". And how the video seemingly abruptly ends. Yes, Eurovision has strict rules on length (3 minutes, with some extra seconds for live performance/staging shenanigans allowed) so producers try to cram as much as possible. That is basically it.
