@@DaneBramageROCKS 1. I just wanted to say I love your reaction. 2. It's not just "in memory". Everything in the dance and even their customs has a meaning. For instance, check her top, the white one.. It has a hole in it. It resembles a bullet hole. The upside down tree is a hint to the Golani brigade who lost so many people on October 7, their symbol is an olive tree. The dancers are a reminder of the dancers who went through so much on this day, some 400 were slaughtered, many of them raped, and some kidnapped. But you are still right. It was intentionally written in a way of a double meaning, so it's also a breakup song.

It is about October 7th. We lost more than 1000 people on that terror attack, that invasion… and it’s about missing someone.. that they were taken away from us. The hurricane is what we went through that day. The sun in the end is a symbol of that as well because it happened in sunrise. And the tree is one of the trees from the party area where 260 people were murdered. The dancing is a notion to the party as well and our slogan “we will keep on dancing”. This is a very special one for us.

As mentioned before me, it's about the horrific terror attack by Hamas that took place in many areas of Israel that are close to the Gaza strip and that from there came thousands of Palestinian terrorists to kill, torture, rape, burn alive and kidnapped into Gaza kids, teenagers, elders, entire families. At the Nova party alone, where 3000 people were dancing for peace and love, over 10% were killed. Other people just woke up in their beds since it was a weekend and an holiday very early morning - 6:30 a.m. Many people were burnt and ash was the only way to discover they were dead, others were found tied together, naked, amputated and then burned alive. Many people lost their homes and entire neighborhood that day and still live like refugees in their own country since it isn't even safe to go back and live in those areas. Others who survived were kidnapped into Gaza, over 200 people, and 70 of them were released after one deal where Israel had to release 210 convicted Palestinians terrorists in exchange for its civilians. There are still 134 hostages in Gaza where some of them, especially young girls are going through rape, other sexual abuse and mental abuse on a daily basis and might be pregnent already, others are known to be dead and some will get to that point if the world won't pressure Hamas and the Palestinian people to release them or prevent us from destoying Hamas terror infrastructure that includes 500Km of underground tunnels with shafts inside hospitals, schools and everyother civilian place you can think of since they are using their own population as a human shield and in case this shield ia hurt they are also happy since then the world sees kids and other people hurt and on the streets and think Israel is the bad guy in this story. To many people justify this terror attack which is for the size of Israel population like 5 times the scale of 9/11 attack. Since the Palestinians are really good in a victim PR, even educated western people say there is a contaxt where it's ok to massacre!?!? That Israel had it coming since "Gaza is the biggest open air prison" (Israel controls the borders for its own protection but they are free to come in and out, they have tourism and hotels, doing business with the world, very rich people villas...Not sure what prison has those) and they also say that Israel commited genocide until October 7th happened (but for the last 75 years the population of Gaza grew from hundrad thousands to 2.5M...If there was a real genocide attampt and intention then Israel pretty suck in that but there are no such. Since Israel is now attacking Gaza and Hamas did a really good job fighting among ita own population and many are casualties of these attacks then now the Palestinian PR now claims again that Israel commiting a genocide and some of the world believes them. After all that I said, this is why this song is so powerfull, it embodies many detailes of what happened that day, but also the pain of the tragedy and challanges of the Israeli people on that horrific day and since. Israel needs the free world by its side since it's fighting for the future of us all against Islamic terror. If it won't come on top, if they get a state as a reward for terror, then you will find Islamic terror more common on your streets in America and Europe and them claiming your land is theirs since one time in history they lived there. Good luck to us all, and may god help us.

OCTOBER RAIN [Verse 1] THOSE THAT WRITE HISTORY STAND with me Look into my eyes and see People GO away but never say goodbye [Verse 2] Someone stole the moon tonight Took my light Everything is black and white Who's the fool who told you boys don't cry? [Verse 3] Living in a fantasy, ecstasy Everything's meant to be We shall pass but love will never die [Chorus] Hours and hours AND FLOWERS Life is no game FOR THE COWARDS WHY does time go wild Every day I'm losing my mind Holding on in this mysterious ride Dancing in the storm WE got nothing to hide TAKE ME HOME home and leave the world behind AND I PROMISE YOU THAT NEVER AGAIN I'M STILL WET FROM THIS OCTOBER RAIN OCTOBER RAIN [Outro -Free translation from Hebrew] NO MORE AIR TO BREATH NO ROOM THERE IS NO ME ANYMORE WE ARE ALL GOOD KIDS ONE BY ONE

Original lyrics deemed "too political".because it referred to the October 7th massacre of people attending the Nova music festival of peace by Hamas terrorists. Our language is Hebrew. Israel has won four times. Eurovision here is a blast. I was able to attend a dress rehearsal in 1999 in Jerusalem,.after the song "Diva",.sung by Dana International won in England 1998. It was an amazing show (and fell on my birthday so it was a fantastic present from my husband). The next night we watched the show on TV and we're able to see the little changes done from the dress rehearsal. Made us feel like we were behind the scenes. Eden is a fantastic singer, we voted for her at Kochav Haba and wish her all the luck. The song embodies a lot of the feelings in the public. We have been through a true "hurricane" of emotions the last six months.

Thanks for the reaction. The song is about the October 7 massacre The song has a big meaning for us (Israel). The heavy breathing that can be heard at the beginning of the song and in the middle, is a symbol of the shock and panic of the residents of Israel and the victims of the October 7 massacre in particular. When Eden is in a pile with all the dancers at the beginning of the clip, this is an image for all the murdered and survivors of the massacre who hid in groups and huddled in small places on top of each other. Aden appears in the video in a white tank top with a hole in the middle symbolizing the people who were shot and murdered. Also, the massacre took place on a holiday in Israel called "Simchat Torah" a holiday in which it is customary to wear white. The dancers dancing in white are a symbol of the participants in the "Nova" music festival, in which alone 364 civilians (Arabs and Jews) were murdered. When they wear black they symbolize the pain and grief of the families of the murdered and kidnapped as our mourning clothes are black. The sun in the background of the clip is a symbol of the time when the massacre took place since it started early in the morning just before sunrise. When Eden wears a gray coat and underneath she has a belly shirt wrapped around her neck, this is the shape of the symbol for the struggle to return the people 🎗️ who were kidnapped and are currently being held as hostage in the tunnels in Gaza.

The original name of the song was "October Rain" as the song is a tribute to the Holy souls who were murdered on October 7th by Hamas at the Nova Dance Festival but Eden Golan was asked to change the name because it was "too political" so it became "Hurricane". The video reflects many symbolic tributes to the attack on Israel. An upside down tree refers to the "Tree of Life" which was ripped out of the ground. The dance moves reflect the dancing of those at the festival. Everyone at the festival came to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and celebrate peace, love and music when they were so violently attacked at dawn - hence the sunrise. An incredibly moving song reflecting our feelings of our people being torn apart by the Hurricane. So proud of Eden Golan! So talented and beautiful!

It actually is, in part, a break up song. One of the songwriters had gone through a recent divorce, and their pain was a basis of.the song. But the loss aspect that he picked up on was of course about Oct. 7th which is what the song is mainly about.
Like the forest after a fire we will grow and grow stronger and stronger again, we will dance again...

Dane, the song was written in memory of the 1500 lost souls that were brutally murdered on October 7th, in Israel, it's not over a breakup (but could be taken this way as well). It's very emotional and very beautifully performed by Eden

She sings deep from her soul hurting from the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. Over a thousand were killed both in their homes and at a Dance Rave on our National holiday. Hundreds were brutally kidnapped into Gazza. Families and friends feel deep anguish over these innocents who are hostages in Gazza.

This song is in memory of the nova angels, young and beautiful people who went to a music festival to dance but never came back. In the October 7th terrorist attack, they were raped, murdered and taken hostage. Some of them are still hostages, half a year after. The message of the song is- we will dance again 🤍💙🇮🇱🎗

Just an FYI, the dancers in the video are dressed in something resembling shrouds since they represent the murdered kids at the Nova music festival on October 7th, as it's a Jewish tradition to bury our dead in simple white linen shrouds. That is also why their dance resembles something you can see at a trance festival - which is what the Nova was. The song is powerful because it represents the immense heartbreak and devastation we went through, but also our hope and the realization that we will overcome, as we have done for centuries.

Oh! you've made me all warm inside! thank you so much for this honest heart felt reaction! best reaction to this song. the context of this song can also be (and for Israelis it is, no matter how much they make us change the lyrics in order to participate) the loss and trauma we suffered as a nation on 7th of October this year. BTW, Unicorn from last year, was also the Israeli song. it is very cool you remembered that little change of language in the end. You really listen. Much love and appreciation.
