Of course he couldn't mention everything, but as a Swede I have to point out two things: Sweden have arguably the best stealth submarines in the world, in a War game some years ago one of them managed to sneak past all the ships and send torpedos and sink a US aircraft carrier. Over all, Swedish military tech is at top level and one of our main exports. Swedish songwriter/producer Max Martin has 27 number one billboard hits, second only to Paul McCartney. Music is often called our biggest export after military equipment, and Sweden is together with the UK and USA a country that exports more music than we import.

@@TomKirkemo-l5c One of the things that makes the Swedish Subs good is that they use Sterling Engines which are very quiet, another is that they can move quite close to the bottom, and they can stay submerged for weeks without having to resurface

Actually ... norwegian Kobben-class subs sank american aircraft carriers in the 80's so it was not a new thing 🙂but yeah swedish sub Gotland is very very quiet and more modern than norwegian subs now. But in the 80's they had to take out the subs to continue with the military exorsise because the norwegian subs wrecked havoc among the "attackers" 🙂

14:05 And again the facts are wrong as always when it comes to this topic. You are allowed to camp or swim or pick wild berries or mushrooms on private property as long as you don’t disturb the ”house peace”. Meaning you must be out of sight and out of earshot from the residential home. You must leave the campsite undisturbed meaning clean up after yourself and don’t damage the nature.

You're from Alaska? Then you might be interested to know that Oslo is pretty much exactly as far north as Anchorage and most of Norway is far north of that. As a Norwegian, it is a dream of mine to go to Alaska and the Canadian wilderness one day. It seems like a macroscopic version of Norway. He makes a big mistake when he says we can camp wherever we want as long as it's not private property. The big thing is that we _can_ camp on private property without asking permission. That's not even imaginable for an American, I guess. :)

If you look at the various statstics, no. Nominally (and I will stress that) both are stil mojority Lutheran countries. When you ask what people actually belive, and how it affets their lives, both countries are quite irreligious. Looking at their behaviour and traditions you could easily mistake them for sun worshippers.

Polling, I would assume. Most of us who live here know we have a great life, compared to being born anywhere else. Most of us had a good laugh a few years back when Trump was president, and was visited by our prime minister. Trump told her he wanted immigrants from nice countries like Norway, and not "shithole countries". For us grown up in a strong socialist democracy like Norway, US is more of a shithole country than anywhere in Europe lol. One does not give up free education, healthcare, little to none corruption, no big company lobbies affecting elections, strong rights as as an employee, livable minimum wage, almost a year of paid maternity leave... I could go on, but think my point has been made.

Yeah, happiness is bit of a misnomer... The ranking has more to do with general ease of mind, prosperity, opportunity, stability and such... It's not that people here don't have problems, but compared to the rest of the world, it's often embarrassing what little things people find reason to complain about up here 😅

Us Norwegians joke a lot with Swedes, but to be honest, they are hell of a lot more impressive. We just got lucky, whereas they make their own fighter jets, trains, cars, electronics, cell phones, appliances, nuclear energy and on and on... Everything any major power does... They're only 11 million, and the only thing they haven't done yet, seems to be sending a Swede to the Moon. Therefore, it only stands to reason that Norway should do that - Send a person to the Moon (Just to piss them off 🤣)

I disagree. Norway invented artificial fertilizer, which has allowed Humanity to at least double in size. If that's not impressive, I don't know what could be. Norway has also done a lot of other important things like Internet, WWW, mobile telephony, etc. Windows, Mac, Linux, Ios and Android are all written in a programming language that originates in Norway. That's kind of a big deal.

@@mikaelmilo No, it isn't, if the reasoning is sound. I am traumatized, so I need it. I told my doctor that I used to smoke weed but that it wasn't the trip I liked, but the calm afterwards. He immediately recognized it as the effect of CBD and he prescribed it to me. It changed my life because I no longer needed alcohol. Now I get to be a hippie with a clear mind and I love it. I do still like getting stoned, but now it's just when I want it and not because I need the calm. However, I believe that there's a use for THC as well because it can help you to zoom out and go pale blue dot. That is another issue however.
