Yes, he is known for dribbling, skills, but can basically do everything and dare I say he is a more skillful version of Messi. I say this, because he is one of the most creative attackers we've seen, he is a phenomenal playmaker/passer, amazing dribbler and goascorer just like Messi with the difference being is that he didn't quite reached Messi's heights or at least not for more than a year or two. Neymar is the all-time goalscorer of Brazil which is the nation with the most World cups, I think he was 3rd for the Ballon D'Or two times behind Messi and Ronaldo and won big trophies with Santos (the club he started his career with from a very young age), Barcelona and PSG. He was basically levels above anyone in Brazil even when he was 18 - 22/23 before moving to Barcelona where his best years were, he was also great when he played for PSG, but injuries for which he may have a fault (his lifestyle mainly) led to lackluster seasons in which he couldn't win the biggest club trophy (Champions League) with them despite one final and that was his goal when he decided to leave Barcelona for PSG as well as becoming the best player in the world and to leave Messi's shadow. Probably a lot of people will say his time at PSG was a failure and perhaps it is, but he still was exceptional when it comes to numbers (goals/assists/chances created etc), the problem was he didn't play nearly enough due to injuries. Neymar is 32 now, but typically for party brazillians, after moving to Saudi his career is gradually in decline while Messi and Ronaldo were still in their peak at that age and that's the difference. Lack of commitment, discipline, some questionable career choices and frail body were the culprit of his demise. One of the best players in the last 15 years, yet one of the biggest "what could have been", because his talent is second to no one. The Prince that never became a King, truly!

Biggest things to note about Neymar and Ronaldinho, when it comes to flashy and fancy moves (and being effective with them) no one does it like those two. In the quarter final against Colombia, he was brutally fouled and his spine was fractured and ruled out for the rest of the tournament... The semi-final was against Germany and without him (and team Captain Thiago Silva, who was suspended) Brazil was routed 1 - 7... the worst defeat in their history on home turf. Girl, i'm brazilian and i grew up playing on streets, Neymar is the last professional that play good like this. The majority of dribles don't have a name, some have, the thing just flow, using the imagination in realtime, without tatics, the training is just playing and having fun with the ball like a toy. But i repeat Neymar is the last in professionals, the brazilian magic is dead today, except in streets, we still can find Neymars and Ronaldinhos playing for fun arround the country, because is in our culture.

But the brazilian clubs followed another way, just tatics and burocracy, the players don't explore skills any more, don't use the head, don't look around, don't try something different, don't use two legs, just obey orders limited by their position, and do it very bad yet. 😑. But in whole country you can see the magic on the streets where the people still play for fun, but it's less today too, because the internet and a lot things, there is not a lot kids playing, still have some, but in the past it was massive, i'm an example, and i live in São Paulo, a big city like NY, but even here i played on streets. I hope that someday someone will rescue and bring the magic to professionals back., but it will be difficult.
