I watched an older video of yours where you described sometimes being overwhelmed by anxiety as well when reacting to a video where Americans discuss what they no longer fear. One response was 'anxiety' Maybe a possibility would be to learn one of the languages of the EU and immigrate under the new skilled migration laws in the EU. It has become much easier to come here and seek employment or start an apprenticeship and build a new life in the EU if you don't have a recognized degree. For me, as a European, it's inconceivable to lead such a carefree life, let alone to start a family. Many European ancestors left Europe for the USA for a better life back then, so why shouldn't the opposite be possible now? After all, we are global citizens. One defines oneself by one's social environment, not by one's nationality. I'm a European from Germany. It's purely coincidental, in my view, that my consciousness arose from the connection of two Germans, making me German. Especially since it's now possible to retain one's citizenship and thus be a citizen of both countries. I experienced this with a New Zealander who worked with us on a work visa. We persuaded him to pursue an IT apprenticeship at the age of 30. For his residence permit, he needed the apprenticeship contract, proof of a bank balance of 9000 euros, as apprenticeship salaries are not very high (usually apprenticeships in Germany start at the age of 15, and typically one still lives at home), and he needed at least a B1/B2 level in the German language. He now works for an international company. Moreover, he even shortened his apprenticeship by a year. A German colleague of mine pursued a second apprenticeship at the age of 33, just like me. This is not unusual here in Germany, especially considering that many professions didn't exist before, especially in IT. One can also effect change in the situation in the USA from outside (elections), but one does not subject oneself to the sword of Damocles that can collapse at any time, given all the uncertainties at the moment. I can only recommend the KZbin channel "Type Ashton," a family from the USA living in Germany, which provides a very detailed insight into the differences between both cultures.

I live in the North of the Netherlands and it is rather quiet up here. On the news though you do see shooting incidents every now and then, most of them in the vicinity of Rotterdam. It makes sense since it has a large international harbor and a big international population. That is why we in the North think the Rotterdam area is one of the more dangerous parts of the Netherlands (it is on the news a lot). But if this is really the case I couldn't tell you, because I don't go there all that often.
