He was a freak, over 100kg and could move like that. Built like a prop but faster than most wingers. I heard some great stories about him, he hated training, when he played in France the coach kept moving him closer to the stadium because he was always late, they found a place 1min walk from the stadium and he was still always late. I also heard that he would bring a picnic blanket to training, and while the team were working, he would just lay on the side of the pitch and nap on this blanket! Very Fijian! Great Player!

Not exactly Fijian. The Coach should've understood why he was acting a fool. Maybe it wasn't about his skills, stride & brute strength. It could've been his spouse, his friends, his parents, his pastor or whomever else. Find out more.

I’ve been hearing a lot of great stories about him and they bring a smile to my face. It sounds like he is a very humble and down-to-earth, man. And you said it perfectly moving his body that fast is something out of comic books! He had a natural God-given gift and running looks so effortless So beautiful to watch

Arguably the most physically gifted player in the history of rugby. Even when he was past his prime, or just unfit, he was still a huge threat. I once saw him get subbed in during a game against the All Blacks. He was obviously paunchy, fat even. It was clear he hadn't even been training for a while. His first touch he carves up the best rugby team in the world and scores. Then they had to sub him off again because he was badly winded. Theres a story about when he played and destroyed the opposition despite being really hung over after getting blind drunk the night before and finally going to sleep at 3am. And this was when he played in the Super 12, at the time the best top-level club rugby competition in the world. However, he was the equivalent of a country kid who literally couldn't bear to live anywhere else. He would go back to Fiji in the off season and head home to his remote village. His village was in the middle of the jungle, on the most undeveloped region of Fiji's second big island, and just wouldn't go back in time to his club in France. His club would have to contact the French Embassy to send someone to the island, drive for hours on terrible roads, then trek hours into the jungle to go get him. He once even got off the plane to go back home when he heard his wife had a tooth ache. This went on for years. But the club did it because he was just that good.

Thanks for this incredible story wow! He sounds like an incredible man and very humble with such God-given, talent and ability It’s so cool to see people who have a gift that is all inspiring and jaw-dropping I wish I got to see him play in person. He makes running look so effortless, and he just glides across the turf with so much grace and fluidity. Thanks so much for sharing this story. I really love it. I appreciate you.

I was lucky enough to see him play on a few occasions. I remember him scoring 3 tries in a Blues / Brumbies Super Rugby match in 2003 in an 80 minute downpour. It was a freakish performance. Another couple of players you could perhaps check out:- Danie Gerber, in my view the GOAT of Centres, and Hugo Porta, the first great Puma (and possibly Argentina's finest ever player). Keep up the great work with your channel my friend
