Tommy was the best ever.He used to drink 2 bottles of whiskey before he went on stage. When he had a heart attack on stage and died the audience couldn't stop laughing they thought it was a joke part of the act.A laugh until the end.RIP Tommy Cooper.

Tommy was so famous for his tricks that went wrong! During the 1960's, my mother was invited to to a house party over the Christmas period. She found herself sitting next to Tommy Cooper, who didn't say a word all evening, but just drank and drank....

Tommy Cooper was always on comedy-wise. I remember a story of him going on a taxi ride. When he reached the destination he payed his fare. Then he gave the driver a sealed envelope and said "Here man, have a drink on me". When the driver opened the envelope he found a tea-bag in it.

I believe comedian Ken Dodd (or Doddy RIP) used to do the same. They were from the same era and no doubt age too.

Tommy Cooper the BEST worst magician ever R.I.P. Sir

The genius of Tommy Cooper was his ability to make everything he messed up seem so realistic. A real legend of British comedy that unfortunately we haven't seen the likes of since. Great video, thank you :)

I saw him live a couple of times doing summer residency at the seaside town where I grew up. Brilliantly funny man and so unique. A talented magician and a great comic who never ever told a blue joke nor needed to!

Allan Cuthbertson (Intro/Camera sketch) was a well-known face on UK TV. He was often cast in military roles and appeared in the film The Guns of Navarone. He appeared several times in the 60s series The Avengers and was featured regularly on The Morecambe and Wise Show in the mid-70s. He was also in the Fawlty Towers episode Gourmet Night.

I was about to go to bed (here in Japan) when notification of this came up. So, cracked open a beer and enjoyed, again. I'm loving these daft old clips.

Hey🐿️love your Tommy skits👍 it's great when someone (usually an old dear) starts laughing and he looks up with that expression 'what are you laughing at' 😂 your reviews of Tommy whilst you wear the tribute fez make it even better I know the guy was just silly but sometimes silly gets you through. Thanks 🐿️✌️🇬🇧✌️🇺🇸🍻

Topo Gigio was a little Italian mouse. About 12" tall and incredibly cute. He always appeared against a black background so you never saw his operator, but he interacted with any presenter of the TV show he was on. Think there are one or two you tube clips of him, but they are quite old. He was around in the early 60s. I used to see him on the TV show Sunday night at the London Palladium. Would like to see him reserected

nice one Squirrel...Love Tommy, the weird thing is I was 10-12 yo when the TC Hour was broadcast on ITV ('73-'75) and we never watched ITV in our house ,my parents were strictly BBC (you had 3 channels to choose from BBC1 , BBC2 and ITV..Beeb were ad-free, ITV wasn't), saying ITV was 'just rubbish' haha.My parents are great by the way and still with us,and weren't particularly strict with us..just an odd quirk ,I mentioned it to them the other day and we had a bit of a laugh about it. Point being I haven't seen as much of Tommy ,as say,The two Ronnies..So I'm watching a lot of these for the first time with you which is cool..thx and take care Ken

I had a Topi Gigo soft foam mouse as a child, the puppet was popular in the 1960's. As for that Dracula sketch hmm...I wonder if the bride was called dEARdree as she had quite a few of them in that veil of hers! Sometimes in a world of madness we need just that so thanks Squirrel for just that.. a moment of madness with TCT. 😜

@@TheRealSquirrel and fezzes are not exactly popular headgear unless you watch Doctor Who with Matthew Smith, who would always say that fezzes (and bow ties) are cool. I love that you wear your flat cap. It looks as if you were born in the UK and it’s part of you. Love Four Ronnies Friday, but the fear departed Tommy Cooper was a gem. Look at Jasper Carrot. His daughter was the receptionist in the UK version of The Office.

Squirrel, you will notice how he constantly looks around to see if anyone has spotted the crassness of his act. That's obviously part of it. Don't try to understand anything. If it makes you laugh then that was the point. Self-deprecating British humour.
