There was a funny moment in the House of Lords when they were discussing the safety of the London Eye in high winds. One peer explained how, in an emergency, there was an outside ladder. There was a short silence before everyone started laughing at the idea.

Actually Cameron was "Alleged" to have porked the pigs head by Lord Ashcroft. Who was annoyed that after paying a substantial bribe....sorry , substantial contribution to Tory party funds, Cameron didn't give him a government job. Ashcroft got a compliant journalist to plant the story & when both were asked for any evidence, were unable to provide any. Private Eye magazine covered this in some depth when it first appeared but sadly Fantastical Tales will always generate more headlines than dull old facts.

Dennis Skinner is certainly worth checking out some more. Totally opposed to the Royal Family and Aristocracy, it became a tradition for him to call out something amusing that ridiculed Black Rod - the King or Queen's Messenger whom is sent to invite the House of Commons, "to attend His/Her Majesty immediately, in the House of Peers," at the State Opening of Parliament, each year.

The video failed to mention... but rees-mogg himself, the one lounging on the chair, is permanently stuck in the mud. He might be one of the most despised mps, not only due to his beliefs, but his severely smug/stuck up/privileged attitude. He's often mocked as he spent most his time as a young adult with a nanny. MP's don't get paid £300 a day, it's members of the House of Lords (Peers) who get paid £300 for turning up and snoozing on the benches. In fact there's an attendance book and as long they've signed it for that day, that's enough to be paid £300 expenses, so they could turn around and go back home again. Ordinary MP's are paid £86,000 a year as well as 'expenses' of almost as much. And apparently they're having trouble trying to eke out a living on a mere £86k a year.

The thing you need to know about British politicians pay Ryan is that it's a joke! It's only £86,000 per year! I mean, how on earth is someone expected to live on that measly amount? You really can't keep the wolf from the door, never mind wondering where the next meal's coming from. Rachel Reeves MP, the woman who is expected to become the country's next Chancellor of the Exchequer (and therefore in charge of the whole of the UK's budget/finances) if - sorry, when - the Labour party win the next election, was herself apparently recently complaining about how difficult it is to get by on (only) £86k a year - conveniently omitting apparently, that her husband earns about £150,000 a year. Just to give a measure of how much £86k is, my annual income is about £21k a year. And there are plenty out there who have an income notably less than me. Oh, and I forgot to mention, MP's get to decide/approve their own (usually inflation busting) pay rises. I don't know any others who decide their own pay.

Identity politics influencing film, which is an artform, is not unimportant at all. When identity politics influences what is and is not allowed in arts and film, it's only correct that politicians discuss it. This idea that for every white person in film there must also be a black person, an asian person, etc., it is a form of socially acceptable racial ideology that is pushed by American corporations unto the world. Corporations like Netflix who make ahistorical documentaries, or Google that bends the truth in the name of diversity. Current case in point: Google Gemini. I actually don't understand how you can still facepalm at these concerns and consider them unimportant. It is identitarian ideology pushed by corporations in the information-business.

@@Isleofskye No love, he didn't "bob and weave". He lied outright and tries to take advantage. He is stealing from the poor to give to himself. You need to stop reading Tory propaganda and do some real research. This isn't compare contrast hour, because I could name you MANY good Labour or Lib Dems. This is about the 18th century prick himself.

Please understand that England was doing this party system politics way before USA was a country so they know what they are doing and what works.

I think you should have watched an informational video first, or read wikipedia, so you know a single thing about this you're supposed to comment on.

I didnt feel these were that good. I mean they were ok but just watch any PMQs and its prob got more entertainment value than a lot of these clips.

Jacob Rees Mogg is brilliant, he has a remarkable ability to bring out division in people, they either loathe or love, I'm in the later group. His ability to put down is renown. He is not a member of the nobility.

That's certainly one point of view. Mine is that he is a ridiculous cartoon character of a politician who relies on his put-on upper-class accent to a) disguise the fact that he's as thick as mince, and b) to encourage gullible voters to slurp up his snake oil. Time and time again he's demonstrated that he is an exceedingly clueless politician. One of the major Brexit liars - he promised "cheaper food, clothing and footwear" through leaving the EU. How's that working out, then? Probably the nearest we have to Donald Trump, actually.

These are not particularly whacky moments... Seen much worse from parliament.

I hate mojo uk! They are so politically biased! Every single clip apart from two was bashing the Conservative Party. With exception to the SNP. Who was shown in a positive light. Note how no labour MPs we in this video 😉

That's because it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Find me a lying, dishonest, incompetent MP, odds are it's going to be a Conservative.

Well they have to use the material they have. Perhaps the Conservatives should stop providing so much.
