American Restoration: Making of the Detroit MotorCity Casino Hotel Kiosk

Rick and Kelly Dale from the History network series American Restoration came to Sound Board on June 14, 2015. In preparation for their visit, they restored an old gas pump into a beautiful new kiosk for MotorCity Casino Hotel. Take a look at how it was made, and get some insight into the whole process.

Me and my grandfather used to watch this every saturday night. And he passed away and I just remembered this. He said he liked this so much cuz he find it very interesting. When I was small, I used to lie my head down to his lap as we watch this show together, now I’m rewatching it without him.

They kicked them off because they were supposedly ripping people off and doing shotty work. Once known as one of the best restoration shops around until they got famous. The network dropped them. I loved the show!

Not really. I see a lot of faults in his work. it's mainly why they flash quick views of items because you would see the imperfections easier if you had more time to see them..

Love this show. Love what you do, Restoring vintage Americana, bringing it back to life.
