These men are from my country but being a rock music fan, they never came into my radar until GENTO exploded on Tiktok with the dance challenges even by Kpop artists. Ken became my bias, understably because his voice is the one with the rockstar edge to his voice. But I enjoyed also their showbreak episodes during the pandemic. Their comedy skits are just plain hilarious, very entertaining, showing their funny side. I just dont know what hit me with SB19 here i am binge watching everything about them, thats why ive just stumbled on your channel. And i dont even like kpop (just expressing my opinion, not imposing on anyone).

Ken wasn't expecting anyone to come there because he's always the only one who has no family representative whenevere they have a family gathering because they're far away. If you noticed, Ken was just looking while smiling and clapping at the other members and didn't even turn his back to expect someone. That right there is his Ate (Older sister) and Tito (Uncle)which traveled from far away for this. I think it's his first time meeting his sister in person after a long time. Their MAPA (Parents/Gaurdians) went to the stage in the middle of them singing and then they sang it all together with the parents after, Stell also broke down in tears, his voice went shaky at the last part. The performance is not allowed to be posted since it's a paid concert that's why it's been cut in the video. Thank you again for thisss, though I'm already very late watching this huhu. Btw, this is my 1st time watching their MAPA Practice Video and I watched it with you, I cried AHAHAHAHAHA.

25:25 - A little background about this scene. Ken's parents are abroad and he have not seen them for so long, I think since he was in elementary? Lately, they could video call but you see before SB19, Ken lived in a far flung province where there was very limited internet connectivity (plus life there is very poor) so it's very difficult to do so. In SB19 events, all members had their parents and family with them, except Ken. So, at that moment, he was resolved that he was the only one AGAIN without a family by his side, not until his sister and his uncle showed up (planned by Justin). For the first time, he was not alone in situations like this. Hence, he got very emotional. He appreciates every little moment with his family. When his mother remembered his birthday for the first time, he cried so much and was very thankful for it. I bet he felt the same here.

Lataratara is the lullaby that the grandma of Pablo used to sing to him to lull him to sleep. They did perform this in a concert last year where their parents/guardians surprised them (except Justin since he was the one who directed the concert so he knew what was going to happen). As mentioned in the other comment, Ken grew up with absentee-parents (both parents live and work abroad) and his grandparents brought him up. He has only seen his parents in person twice. Sadly, both of his grandparents passed away last year. Josh, the one who sang the verse of the father, grew up not knowing his father. He was an independent child by age 15 and had to work and attend a distance learning programme to be able finish high school. Pablo also has an absentee-father who works abroad to support his family. Ken is the guy whose vocals are so low, deep and raspy. He’s the main dancer and one of the vocalists, too. Ken grew up without his parents and under the care of his grandmother. He said he saw his parents only once. They sang MAPA in one of their concerts, where their parents came up to the stage. It was only Ken whose parents were not present but he cried when his older sister came. He cried so loud because of happiness . I cried, too. We all cried. This clip was from their 2 day anniversary concert. Towards the end of the song the music stopped and their parents came out to congratulate them. Ken got emotional because his older sister and Uncle were there to see him perform for the first time. He was raised by his grandparents and has only seen his parents twice as they work overseas. It was a very emotional moment in the concert since their appearance was kept secret from Ken and shows how grounded these guys are with their families. Keep exploring there is so much you haven't experienced yet!

What really got me was how proud Ken was of his older sister that came to visit. It wasn't shown in the video you reacted to at the end, but after their MAPA performance, Ken proudly told the audience a bit about his sister and that she's now a teacher. Its so cute to see him interact with his family, especially since we rarely get to see that from him due to the geographical distance.

I got really surprised with Ken bcoz I think he’s the “astig/angas” among the boys… I got emotional with that part where their families were up on stage with them… And JOSH… i just watched KwentoJuan Episodes5&6 (this is the detailed version of Toni Talks with SB19)..I am so happy that Josh…oh boy..im happy that I think he’s okay now bcoz he really has this hatred towards life and I think being part of SB19 is a healing process for him.. I wanna add some info: >Lataratara is referenced from the Spanish phrase “La Tierra” which means ‘you are my world’…what a beautiful lullaby >in the 1st verse, mom is referred to as “MAta” or eyes; while on the 2nd verse, dad is referred to as “PAa” or feet. Pablo made a wordplay on that->MAPA >towards the end of the lyric video that somehow is drawn to the arctic, you see a word TAHAN NA which means “don’t worry/it’s okay”…and when you interchange the last 2 letters and then add another N it becomes TAHANAN which is a tagalog word of “HOME” The lyric video is so beautifully and subtilely created…well thought creation which why indeed, MAPA is a masterpiece✨ SLMT for this great reaction🧡

I'm done watching all your SB19 RVs. I saved Mapa for last as this makes me feel emotional. My dad passed away exactly 1 month after it was released. We are not vocal when it comes to letting each other know how much we love each other, or generally how we feel. I'm glad I was able to make him listen to this at it sums up how I'm thankful to both him and my mom. I took care of the family and took his "position" as the provider when he fell ill and I think he felt like he was a burden but that's not the case. Though I get stressed and burnt out a lot I'm happy that I could relieve him from all his responsibilities. We were from a poor family so I know it was hard ever since they had me and my sister and I witnessed all his hardships and sacrifices. We are still not (I'm gonna say yet haha) rich but since they raised us well, we have a better life now. I miss him.

Mapa never fails to make me cry, that's why I don't listen to it often. Shout out to you both and to all parents who love and sacrifice a lot for their kids. You mentioned the jackets they were wearing. Those are modern Barongs. A barong is one of our national costumes, but they added a modern twist to it by turning it to jackets. If you could also take notice of their earrings, they were stars, sun (Justin wore the sun earring) which represent the Philippine flag's three stars and the sun, plus Pablo's pearl earrings because the Philippines is called the Pearl of the Orient Seas.

They all play different positions in every song but they always have this distinct part in their songs: the one who rap is josh the one who always give low voice/harmonize is Ken the one who gives high pitch to harmonize voice is stell the one who could sing with his eyes is justin (emotional everytime he sings his part) the one who is versatile is the one who composed every song (most up until the production) he sings, harmonizes, and raps (does things up in anyway he wants) and give chills with the random words that adds up melody and bringing it to another level, he likes word play...if you just analyze most of the words he uses has another meaning more profound than what we think.

Thank you very much beautiful couple for the rv's of MAPA mean's PARENT's- our guide in life!👨🏼‍🦰👩‍🦰 MAPA was made by Pablo during lock down back in 2020, while having a enhanced community quarantine & released last May of 2021, dedicated to all the parent's out there for being the light & the wall of the family but sadly SB-19 KEN & JOSH had no complete family 1st Josh who never met his biological Dad had his part of Dad part & everytime he sang that part I can't help myself but cry 'coz I can relate to him, I also never been saw my father, he died when I was 3 yrs. old & no memorie's with him but Josh father is still alive but when he met his Dad's brother said to him that he's father doesn't recognized any people, had a mental dis order & Josh felt so sad when he knew it, it's not clear if he got the chance to see him but Josh is hoping that someday their family will be complete! KEN with a deep voice grew up with his grand parent's since he was young, his parent's work in Malaysia as ofw( overseas Filipino worker's), living in a province with no exact amount of money is really hard so Ken's parent's decided to leave the country to find another luck in our neighbor country which is Malaysia, like what the other comment's here, Ken only met his parent's only twice & when he stop's studying in college as a architecture student his parent's got mad of him & they never been talked for 2 yrs. during his training yrs. which around 4 yrs., having a college degree is very important to every parent's that's why they never had a conversation with Ken, only to found out recently in 1 of SB-19's interview.🙂 MaPa has a special place in Ken's ♥️ 'coz before the released of the said song last May Ken's grand mother passed away, he was so very devastated, he flew to Mindanao his hometown to attend the funeral & after he went back here Manila to prepared on their up coming EP PAGSIBOL album, whenever they sang MaPa you will saw the sadness in Josh & Ken's face's & Pablo is a truly great lyricist's & arranger to his group mate's!🤘 The last video that you saw was their last online concert called "OUR ZONE", Ken's grand father was sick then, not be able to went there to surprised his grand & favorite son, also for safety protocol's of Covid-19! But his elder sister & uncle went there to surprised him because for the longest time he's the only one who had family representative's & finally he had already, & that night everyone who watching to that concert was all crying😭🤧 we're very happy for Chic-Ken that atlast he had a family member's there!💙 But the most saddest thing happening to Ken when after almost 7 month's his grand father also passed away last Dec. 26, 2021, it's very painful for Ken 'coz he had a promised to his grand parent's before when they had already recognized & slowly successful in their career's that he can give them a good life, a beautiful house in their province & they can travel anywhere in the PH. & abroad but it will never been to happen, 2 people who supported Ken to his impossible dream's we're gone but they told him before that they we're happy for Ken's success although they cannot saw him anymore.🥺 Now Ken's wish is to complete his family here, If God's will because they are a Christian family, he want's to convinced his parent's to come back here since they can provide for them already as the lyric's said , Rest Mom & Dad I can take care of everything!👍 So 'yah we are very happy that you appreciated the song, it's dedicated to you sweet parent's couple & to all out there! Thank you for reacting to their songs as I have suggested. The our zone concert was held end of November 2021. It was near the end of their song Mapa when their families came out. Among the boys, Justin and Stell’s parents were present. For Pablo and Josh, it was their mom and sister that came. Pablo’s dad is an Overseas Filipino Worker. Josh as some A’tin has mentioned never met his dad since birth. Ken on the other hand, both parents works in Malaysia and he was raised by his grandparents. Ken broke down because he thought, ‘oh here it goes again I don’t have family who will show up’. Little did he know that the boys invited his sister whom he have not seen for quite sometime. They still ended the song in joyful tears during this concert. Their latest live performance of Mapa is on the Wish bus about a week ago but has yet to be released by wish. One of their live performance of Mapa that is also worth checking out is their performance at Sonik Philippines where they represented the country as the NCCA (National Center for Culture and Arts) ambassador.

Oh my! Im crying again reminiscing that scene with Ken. Everyone who watched the Our Zone concert were all bawling. It was a known fact by A'tin Fandom that Ken is the one who never grew up with his parents because both of them are working and living abroad and him and his sister were left behind and were taken care by their grandparents who just past away in 2 consecutive years. Mapa is a very heartwarming song which is paying homage to our parents and to whoever took care of you in your grow up years. Anyhow, thank you so much for your reaction. I really enjoyed watching you both. You're such lovely couple. By the way, Justin the youngest is the one far right side in their Round Festival performance. KEN- is the one beside Justin then Josh is in the middle.

Ken was really surprised at that time. Because he was used that every events of SB19 had before. He was the only one that don't have family in his side. Justin and the rest of SB19 planned this for him. At that moment Ken thought that he'll be left out again. That's why he did reacted like that. Most of A'TIN cried that time.

Mapa has 3 meanings in this one: Mapa literally means map MaPa - short for Mama and Papa Ma stands for eyes and Pa for feet (mata and paa in Tagalog respectively) There's also a Live Band version of mapa where SB19 was joined by a band. You should react to it too as it brings a warmer feeling than the original version.

Actually you were right, the first “lataratara” is Pablo plus his iconic laugh. You can also try check out their MaPa live performance at Sonik 2021. That started my interest and love for them.

The lataratara is a lullaby Pablo's grandmother used to sing to him when he was a baby. He said that whenever he felt so stressed, he would close his eyes and this would play in his head.

Ken cried the most because his family is far from Manila, it's the fist time his family went to surprise him. His parents was in Malaysia his grandparents raise him. That time his grandparents has passsed away. First his grandmother that past away last year, after moths was his grandfather,
