Do you need a forklift or pallet Jack to deliver this inside a garage?
@byronbranch46453 жыл бұрын
You're like legit the only dude worth listening to about Amsec Safes online. I need to come to tennessee and buy one but my wife wont let me. No room in the house and I refuse to keep a safe in the garage :(
@parkerssafes3 жыл бұрын
Hey Byron, thanks for the comment! FWIW, We put a lot of safes in garages. I understand your concern, but if that's the only option, I would just recommend anchoring the safe to the concrete, installing a dehumidifier and if practicable, hide or disguise the safe. Amsec actually makes a cloth cover that makes a safe look like a wood cabinet.

@@parkerssafes well I'm north of you in Ohio and it gets awfully cold here in the winter. I've seen some stuff where folks hollow out the inside of an old fridge. So i considered that. But I'm still fighting this fight to try and get it somewhere inside. But i really like the BFX models.

@@parkerssafes how would you anchor this monster to the concrete? Do they drill anchor holes at the factory? Or would that been done during delivery and installation? Genuinely looking at getting a safe like this, the inkas Jupiter, and an ISM, for my weapons and valuables.
@parkerssafes2 жыл бұрын
@@BradUSMCVETrider Most come with pre-drilled holes in the safe from the factory. Then you get the safe installed, leveled and plumb, then drill into the concrete from inside the safe.

The proprietary concrete mix is to provide heat protection from a fire. Anyone with a sledge can get through it. The steel box is what provides burglary protection. Hope that helps everyone.
@parkerssafes2 жыл бұрын
Hey Bob, The RF Series uses actual high strength concrete not their proprietary Dry- Lite. Yes, one could smash it out with a sledge but it wouldn't be easy and that's the whole point. We can't stop the bad guys but we can slow them down. How much we slow them down is what makes some safes better.

any safe can be broken into if a burglar brings a grinder and a torch. The point it so make it as hard for them as possible so they give up.

How much steel is there? How thick is the inner layer, the outer layer and how thick is the steel in the door? I contacted A S and asked them and they replied that "the RF6528 "has two layers of steel (outer and inner) equaling 2-3/4 thick" That would mean that each layer is 1 and 3/8 of an inch. Could the be right?

I wish I could say. AMSEC doesn't share much about the construction of that safe. Just buy one from us, cut it in half and report back with your findings. Ha.

Happy Easter, God bless. Approximate cost? Do they make a smaller version as well?
@jeffstrains40143 жыл бұрын
Commenting to see the answer most safes around 1300 or so are priced around 4.60 a pound. This one is a better deal based on that for sure...

12500

They run upwards of 10k. They do make a smaller version that has the same ratings.

Great info! Which provides better security the American Security RF series that you showing or a Graffunder Fortress series?
@parkerssafes2 жыл бұрын
That Fortress is hard to compete with.

Is this model too heavy to sit on the first floor of a house w a typical slab foundation?
@parkerssafes3 жыл бұрын
It should be fine on concrete.
@Thelawnenforcementofficer3 жыл бұрын
@@parkerssafes thanks Aaron. This would be on a finished floor (3/4” solid oak) which is on the slab. Still ok, or questionable?
@patbowles46512 жыл бұрын
Approximately how much for that safe configuration? Thanks

Around $23,000

Thanks Phil, they’re over 10k. If you want an exact price, give us a call.

Is their warranty transferable? I bought a used, older safe, but there really is no way to contact them directly. Everything just wants you to contact a dealer. Not real happy about that.

Original purchaser only as far as I know

Cmon maaaan don't upload this right after I bought a BFII from you 😭😭😂😂
@alexmarlow25083 жыл бұрын
The BFII is one sexy safe, 1/2'' solid plate door + 1/2'' total body steel thickness, not even counting the drylight, thats one tough safe, probably the best safe for the $. Im trying to decide between the BFII and the CFX (the RFx6 pretty much but the non gun safe variant to save some $), this safe in the video is one good looking safe but its $10k+
@Xoars3 жыл бұрын
@@alexmarlow2508 Aaron told me "if they make it through a BFII they'll likely make it through an RF"

@@alexmarlow2508 also you 4600lbs is a lot to move even if it's only once
@alexmarlow25083 жыл бұрын
@@Xoars It's very true, the ones i wanna get are in the 60'' x 30'' x 30'' range (exterior), so it's not quite as heavy as 4600 lbs, it's in the 2400-2800 lbs range (either TL-30 or TL-30x6). but even that much weight is still a problem, i've already contacted safe moving companies around town and only one company can handle safes heavier than 2000lbs and its $1000+ for the move and installation. But i still rly want a TL-30 or TL-30x6, not because I rly need it, but mostly because I like safes and more of a mental thing. I REALLY like the Amsec TL-30x6 designs, I love how strong their barrier is, but I just keep hesitating because of the cost. Maybe ill just go with a BFII6030, best safe for the $ in my opinion, but then the CF5524 is just a little bit more, even though I wont have the gun safe interior and itll be extremely inconvenient.
@Xoars3 жыл бұрын
@@alexmarlow2508 I'm the same way. I could've bought an RF but the 10k vs the 6k isn't really worth it. There's a point of diminishing returns for a certain level of security
