It's incredible when watching and listening to the real Chris Kyle you can really appreciate how much work Bradley Cooper put in to studying and really becoming the character in the film American Sniper. Really shows his respect for the man and truly comes thru to the audience. A true great performance of all time.

By saying that chris kyle is a murderer is calling every single american service member a criminal. Every single shot that he took had to be recorded, examined, and needed an eye witness. It seriously makes me feel sick to see such comments about a man that lived and died helping the people he cared for and loved. Please have some perspective people

I hate reading negative comments about a true hero. Chris Kyle put his life on the line and fought for this country and our freedom. He didn't have to do that. If you have never served in the military I don't think you can say anything because you don't know what he went through or saw during his 4 tours of duty in Iraq. Yes. Chris Kyle took lives but he saved lives by taking out the people that he did. I don't know about what you people think but I will forever be grateful to Chris Kyle and every service man and woman who put their lives on the line for my freedom.

I do not understand why Kyle would lie about Jesse Ventura and about sniping from the dome after Katrina. Neither are true. Ventura won in court and the only witness they could find said that Ventura never made that comment. Why would Kyle lie? NO hero is perfect. he tarnished his own accomplishments by lying.

I found significant things very contradictory with the book and the movie. 1,- Snipers would never brag on what they did because it goes against their most elemental rule which is invisibility, to remain anonimous and safe. They are not cowboys on white horses, they don't want to be seen ever. 2.- In that episode with Jesse Ventura this guy changed the story about twice and end up saying that he pushed a blury faced guy that he believed that was Ventura. It goes against another elemental rule which is precision. How come he was a sniper and he was not actually and precisely sure that it was Ventura? These to things make me wonder if this is not just another truck driver wearing a custome. If Ventura won the suit after this guy's death then he never was pushed by Kyle, and Kyle was lying or confused. Two things that a real sniper would never let happen.

On Saturday, February 2, 2013, Kyle and a companion, Chad Littlefield, were shot and killed at the Rough Creek Ranch-Lodge-Resort shooting range in Erath County, Texas, by 25-year-old U.S. Marine Corps veteran Eddie Ray Routh, whom Kyle and Littlefield had reportedly taken to the gun range in an effort to help him with what they were told by his mother was post traumatic stress disorder. May they both rest in peace.

Sad to see so many idiots ( I can only assume they are foreign ) talk so disrespectfully about a real hero. The man saved more than American lives, he saved innocent lives of civilians over there. Terrorists, insurgents, what ever you Want to call them, are savages. Brutal, evil, demented savages that kill. I was in the field hospital. I saw what they did to children. Killing anyone who fought, force feeding kids diesel fuel, and watching them die over days. If they left before then, many men would walk days to bring those children in just to watch them die, as we could do nothing. Is this war for our freedom? not right now. Is it for our security? Yes. Fight them there, so we don't have to here. But what's it really for? It's for the innocent. To protect against genocide. To stop the evil before it spreads else where. Chris Kyle was hero because he saw the evil, and faced it. Willing to lay his life on the line for it. The world suffered a great loss loaing Chief Kyle. May he rest in peace, and peace be to his family and friends.

It disgusts me to see all of these comments hate on kyle. He never took joy into killing, he was only proud to serve his nation. He also saved many marines and troops. Jihads used children and women to kill our troops, shit they even killed their own people. War is not glitters and sunshine, it's hell. Many people want to stop war but no matter what it's inevitable. In my eyes Kyle is a hero, and a man who loved his family and a proud American. RIP Kyle, you will be missed by those who truly understand what you went through.

He was a patriot, hero and murderer. But I do not understand why people of E. U hate their own soldiers. When they are given a life of service and sacrafice. And I'm not a pro E. U, but in a war (declared or not) do you prefer to send? A mouse or a lion. A civilian with an iPhone or an MK12 murderer. In his book said "The soldiers do not choose our battles. And all the enemies that i kill I saw evil in them." I personally fascinate Middle Eastern cultures and if they left behind their fanaticism that sometimes think they ignore their own rules and most honorable traditions as Malala said. Middle East would be a beautiful place to visit. This is my opinion, so who cares.
