91 goals in a year was unreal. To put that into perspective, he outscored entire teams that year. Messi is the greatest footballer to ever exist far above all others. I don’t just say that because he’s scored a lot of goals, but he’s got everything scoring, dribbling, passing, vision, technique. He’s won top scorer and top assister in the same season not once but several times. It’s rare just to see a player accomplish that once. Argentina has a good team this year I hope they can win the World Cup this year he deserves it, for all the joy he’s brought to the footballing world. He’s been a pleasure to watch all these years. I believe it’ll be a long long time when we see another player like him.

The world cup is every 4 years (usually in june and ends in july) But the normal season when it is not a world cup year starts usually in august and ends in may. No ronaldo didn’t win the world cup but he won the euro in 2016 with portugal( which is also every 4 years). In 2018 france won the whole thing yes.

There are about 50+ games a season, a little over 50, like it can go up to 60 games a season, and Neymar used to play for Barcelona but he left Messi and Suarez for oil money I mean P$G. But Messi, Suarez and Neymar played together for 3 seasons/ 4 years and during that time they scored around 364 goals and had 150+ assists. It was the best player in the world with the 3rd best player in the world (Neymar) with the best striker in the world (Suarez)

Some seasons for top flight club football teams will play around 40 league games, plus 2 domestic cup competitions - In England, Premiership is the League 38 games and we have the FA cup and League cup. If that season lands on a wold cup year (World cup is played every 4 years) Leagues like the premiership go straight into the World cup that summer.... maybe 3/4 weeks break. With regards to Messi winning a world cup, it is a super hard trophy to win. You really do need an amazing squad to win it... Usually!!! I think the World cup will be in Europe for the next few years.. Our leagues are super dominant at the moment... And nope... Ronaldo (Portugal) has not won the World Cup.. oh, aims yes... During a world cup season they have a break after the world cup, mid July to maybe mid September. Then there's the Christmas break, and spring break somewhere in the mid may. But the world cup starts soon after the beginning of June, so that break is short, basically goes by training and travelling to the Games country, and adapting to the circumstances.

But I think Packers & Bears there's a long tension, yet America is that much united, so the political dimension may be hard to find. In NHL there's maybe the Boston-Montreal rivalry since the league started, and different countries involved, plus Montreal has a lot of the French culture, they likely started as mainly French speaking, don't know. But Barcelona area, Catalonia, speaks a different language than Spanish, though it's related.

Yeah, leagues, cups and tournaments usually see teams and players going year round. every year including world cups years. the pros are lucky if they get 5 weeks of vacation before they need to start pre season training. Covid 19 has been the longest break they've had in most of their career's (excluding injury's)
