Today we will try a few Serbian snacks here in Belgrade, Serbia. We will be trying Serbian pancakes that are homemade and also two from other very popular pancake spots here in the city. The Milky Pancake is by far one of the most popular and trendy pancake shops in the city. We will be comparing there pancake with the more traditional homemade palacinke and also one from Glumac another very popular spot in the city. You have to try pancakes in Zemun in PINOKIO, best pancakes ever ❤ they have savory and sweet pancakes...eurokrem and ground plazma in milk are my favourite. They cost from 200 to 400 dinars. I live 40km from Zemun and I go to Zemun just to eat in Pinokio 😊

@@Travelwithchris You have to try "Radovan Karadžić" pancake (nutella, cashews and cranberries) in Pinokio and "Slatki Pinokio" (Sweet Pinokio) (nutella, plazma u mleku (plazma soaked in milk) and forest fruits). Best pancakes in town.

Well, yeah, the Milky ones are more for a special occasion, like a nice date. They’re a bit too much to be eaten often. Also, they’re a bit pricey. Making palačinke is usually what students do when they’re down on money and are sick and tired of insta noodles. The bare minimum of ingredients are eggs, water and flour, and whatever you have at home for the filling, usually grandma’s homemade fruit jam. Ofc, they’re much better if you have milk and sparkling water. 😄

Cooked regularly for 8-9 during my 20 years in Tokyo. Great way to eat great food and save a bit of money. So much cheaper than restaurants. Those pancakes, all of them, look awesome. I used to cook pancakes a fair bit and just usually put butter or peanut butter and jelly on them.

This brings back memories. My mom used to make palacinke back in Pittsburgh with different fillings and they were ridiculous, so good. She made some with Strawberries and Cream filling and others with a cream cheese filling. My brother and I would hang around the kitchen when she was making them and we would swipe the palacinke before she even had a chance to fill them.

If you woud ever come and visit Sarajevo which I highly recommend fist place you NEED to visit is Baščaršija and to try Bosnien most common meal which is Ćevapi.
