That's a "Koesister" and can best best described as a Cape Malay Doughnut. A "Koeksister" is something different, it's more of a plaited deep-fried doughnut that's soaked in syrup. 💖 🇿🇦

The Woolworths Prawn Chips was discontinued and brought back not too long ago. They were legit the best tasting chips, now the packaging is different and it tastes way too salty. The Flings are actually baked chips and usually given to kids as a snack here in SA 🇿🇦

You should definitely try our kasi street food next time.. bunny chow aka KOTA or Sphatlo with all the good stuff (russian too), vetkoek and polony, pickled mango (atchar)diskopas, cool time or below zero, our popular lollipops (pin pop, stumbo, yogueta), apple munch, mayo yogurt😍🇿🇦 Edit : ouuu, I forgot to mention that you should try braai meat with all the good stuff too.. and the famous peanuts, raisins and romantics (eat those 3 together.. literally takes me back to my childhood) 😂I'll recommend you trying all of these with a lot of caution though (because of the calories) but I really hope you enjoy.💕

Hello, im from south africa. Koeksisters are actually a traditional sunday morning breakfast for many of us. We usually have it with tea/coffee. Also samoosas have various filling my families favourite is mince samoosas. There are also chicken samoosas and cheese samoosas. Chips like Big Corn Bites and Simba Flavors, such as Mexican Chilli as well as Smoke Beef is also nice. The Cadbury Brand a Variety of Chocolates and Biscuits. Liquids for example are Liqui-Fruit, Krush, Ceres and PureJoy, that is mostly fruit juices and Appletiser a fuzzy drink. Other milk enridge drinks like Yogi Sip and Tropika a fruit and dairy blend. So I will comment as u and I go along. IOW, I'll keep editing. 1) Koeksister. Where did u get that from? It looks big, massy, and dry. So, each koeksister is different, depending on baker, location, culture. Generally: 8/10. This one may make me give it 6/10 2) Samoosa. I'm not sure why you started with veggie samoosa? Each to his own. But I would have started with a chicken samoosa. 4/10. PS: I tried gourmet samoosas when visiting Waterfront in Cape Town. Interesting spins. To be found at the V&A Foodmarket. 3) Speckled eggs. Im not sure why people like speckled eggs. Too gelatinous for me. The chocolate is its saving grace. I eat it when Im real hungry, and then they're good. And that's VERY RARE! 4/10 4) Tinkies. I LOVE them. Especially vanilla. Probably strawberry as well. Good with coffee or tea as well? For me: 9/10 5) Flings. Love them. Eating too much gives me bit of heartburn tho? I wouldn't go out of my way to get them. Oh, and aren't they usually a kiddies snack? So, 7/10 6) Niknaks. Not sure why SAs always recommend them. People outside of SA seem to like them. They taste good when u r hungry. For me, 5/10. PS: Try them as a sandwich? Put them between 2 slices. Add ham, coriander, tomato, onion, mayonaise, perhaps some chilli (optional), and a tiny bit of chutney. 7) Pringles. I don't go out of my way to get them. The packaging looks good, but not practical. I feel they're overrated. Visuals do a good job in attracting me. For me, 5/10. The visuals save it. 8) Whispers. I love anything Cadbury. Not whispers so much. The chocolate saves it. But it's not my favourite. 5/10....thanx to the brand. 9) Lunch bar. Not my favourite. Cadbury saves it. It cuts my palate....literally. Too many nuts. Great when u are hungry. 6/10 10) Tex. I like Tex. Nice and small. I would say 7/10. Can anybody remember the ad? The same man from the Gunston cigs ad...at least I think it's him (Clint Eastwood), gets out of his vehicle to inspect the chocolate ad on the bilboard. But something is wrong. The problem is quickly solved when he get's out his gun, and rectifies the smooth chocolate by adding a few holes. Now THAT's Tex, good and proper. 11) Bar One. Very good when you are hungry. Very rich. Can give you sore tummy when eating too much? I would say 7/10. As for a 25 hours day? When the sugar rush makes you listless? And begs you have a power nap? Never before! 18) Salt and vinegar Simba chips. Why didn't you get Lays rather? Not my favourite, except when hungry. 6/10. Try Mexican Chilli, rather. Im over Simba, and into Lays and Doritos. Also Flanaggans. Why not try Wollworths veggie chip options? 19) Prawn Cocktail chips. I like them. Would not go out of my way to get them. I'd day 6/10. I'd say not bad. Not everyone's favourite. 20) Cheese steak Simba. Never had them before. Id imagine they'd taste good? I'd guess 6/10 21) Jumpin Jack Popcorn. Always my favourite. For me 9/10 22) Lays Carribean Balsamic. Always my favourite. My wish came true. See above. 9/10 23) Biltong. Always love. Chilli...love it. 9/10 24) Mango Strips. LOVE THEM! 10/10. Im tending more to eating non-sweety things. 25) Cape Cookies. LOVE THEM. 7.5 /10 26) Eat sum more. Great with tea. Buttery 8/10 The winners for me: Koeksisters Tinkies Popcorn Lays Biltong Mango Strips Eat sum more
