And -20 fps. It's good that the developers are trying to forget about weak PCs and are taking the game to a new level. But our game still consumes one processor core. My i7 13700 has one core loaded at 80-90%, the rest at 5-10. Brilliant.

@@blaze-x9x It’s an optional setting though so hopefully won’t impact performance if turned off. I mainly play on Steam Deck, and often get below 30fps in dense cities, so I may well turn off the interior shadows as well if it does impact performance a lot. Still nice to have the option though ✨

@@blaze-x9x Can't always target potatoes, your high-end graphics card of yesteryear isn't high-end anymore, newer generations of hardware keep coming out, I'm glad they are adding OPTIONAL features to take advantage of them, it's called progress. The next step should be adding headlight shadows.

@@thomashewitt8104 Another stupid kid who plays at 30 fps and says that such settings do not affect anything. When you enable this option and get 15 fps instead of 30, let's see what you say to it. I'm not interested in you if you don't understand IT technologies. I’m not interested in your opinion and the fact that you are trying to praise the developers with their game engine from the 2000s. I’m certainly happy for their work, but it’s time to tackle the technical part of the game and at least implement the FSR or Vulcan API. Because dlss is borderline impossible for ETS 2. On my rtx 3080 I got 150fps+ two years ago, and now it’s 90-100fps. In a couple of years, updates will lower my FPS to 50-60? Good!

@@ItaAndyOfficial its called AMERICAN truck simulator, not UNITED STATES truck simulator, they can include the whole continent if they wanted to, of course they'll start with the US though but once that's done they'll probably start adding Canadian Provinces.

Its really great to see interior shadow improvements, though what always bothered me and ruined immersion is the high-beam issue when another player is behind you, if they use high-beam headlights your whole interior gets lightened up completely, which is utterly unrealistic, especially when you have trailer behind you, it should be impossible 😅 Also what I would like to see sometime in the future, the new API (either Vulkan or DX12, they are faster than DX11, but it would also open up new graphics possibilities for the game) and DLSS/FSR to finally be able to squash the aliasing issue while not sacrificing the image clarity.

i wish someday if were parked at a truck stop, we can walk around the cabin, go to bed, manually turn on or off night lights, click on bed to sleep. the interior lights really adds a truck camping feeling to me. also i want BUSES and RELEASE VR OUT OF BETA, its been there for years when its already working fine. make it as a launch option on the main game.

I hope we can get the ability to have pickup trucks in the game; such as Ram, Chevy, or Ford - to do like “hot shot trucking”. It would be cool to own a semi and pickup truck in the game and deliver shipments 😅

I'm hoping with dynamic loading/unloading being implemented they will expand that out to lowboys, tankers and eventually vans and reefers as that would add some much needed realism to this series, maybe even opens the future up for movement outside of your truck in game too.

💯 I’m grateful that ATS works at all in VR and really enjoy it. I use an old Logitech wheel and pedals with Quest 3 on my PC and the immersion is great. Reversing a trailer with head out the window looking back over left shoulder irl, it’s all so cool. But it’s definitely not optimized for VR and probably could support higher graphics settings with some work. The UI/mechanics would need a revamp I think because hand tracking to operate controls would be awesome. ATS is like a heavy equipment simulator, and that use case is a great fit with VR.

Would love to see stuff like being able to open trailer doors before hitting dock. Truck/trailer getting dirty and needing to get washed. Tire blow outs with handling affected as necessary affected and road side service

SCS. You have to move the load to the trailer so we can switch trucks if we like in are yard. If we pick up the load with a day cab city hopper and want to switch to a longhaul tractor. That whould be nice.

Update: Interior shadows dont do anything in trucks with a dashboard route advisor. when you change black anthem interior to standard, everything works fine. same in peterbilt 389

as a dude handed down a 90s mack from my grandfather who was a mack fanboy before he died. that mack did everrrrything. short long heavy wide... as long as it was in state that mack did it. remember a eureka to san Diego trip.. was the besttttt just driving the coastl highway in cali from my birth city to basically the border . Please need a small update on the radio as the next update. We want the last song we listened to to be stopped and saved as it is. Because there are about 1000 songs and when we listen to the 500th song and run the game again, it is a bit difficult to select the 500th song from the beginning. 😢 So consider this a little bit. ❤

Essas sombras internas tá muito bom, eu sempre vi detalhes de outros jogos que gostaria de ver em ATS. Um deles era esse, agora seria massa adicionar também as sombras da luz dos faróis e o do próprio caminhão também, não cheguei a ver só abri um pouco agora de meio dia, mas acredito que o caminhão não gera as sombras dos postes ainda, não estou me baseando nos retrovisores porque neles não tem sombra nem da luz do sol.

I keep saying it but the way SCS maintains their games should be the industry standard for sims. Upgrade the engine for free, offer paid DLCs to keep funding development. I get that one day the maps will be complete for ATS/ETS2 and it might be time to move on but considering how long the games have both being going and how much you can do in each, I think at that point SCS would have earned the right to make whatever they want and move on.

Doom Eternal, Quake Champions, GTA V... show more FPS and much better graphics than this game. And ALL games that I have mentioned offer FREE updates and DLCs... unlike this game. I had to reduce the resolution of my headset to improve the frame rates. and I run the RX 6900XT. Full Resolution is still a bit too much for games like ATS and iRacing. Neither of which have GREAT optimization in VR. Remember, VR is EXPERIMENTAL, Not officially supported. WE have to adapt. Drop your resolution from 100 to 75 and see what that does. I have a Reverb G2 and ran it as low as 50%. While not as crisp, it is smoother

Скоро для этой игры понадобится 4090 и это с мертвым миром, где гуляет три человека, а водители в машинах выглядят как манекены. Про остальное вообще молчу. Движок родом из 90-х, ничего не поделаешь.
