The BMW costs over $40,000 more than the Caddy. There's not too many track times posted for the Cadillac sadly, not terrible but interesting. I personally feel like if you enjoy launches, obviously the CS will be the better option for you, but for a highway car and 30mph plus car (most daily driving) the extra 45 hp and 106 pound feet of torque would be awesome in the V. Not to mention you can actually choose whether you have a 6 speed manual or a 10 speed auto in the Caddy compared to a 8 speed being the only option in the CS. Unless you're hardcore about racing, the CS from stock would be a nice car but won't pull as hard or handle as well as the Cadillac. You can't tell me the Cadillac can't handle either, because how is a car that has over a second longer of a launch (2.5 M5 vs 3.4-3.7 Blackwing due to RWD) catching up on a racetrack and surpassing [barely] in every lap time I can publicly find

For example the Cadillac CT5 blackwing is better sounding and has a faster top speed than any Mercedes sedan for nearly half the price. The Z06 cost less than the 9/11 Carrera. The Z06 is just about a supercar. The Ford GT won the 1966 through 1969 and 2016 24 hours of Lemans The Audi R8 is just a show horse. And don't even get me started with the trackhawk.

I’d agree with them on this one. The Blackwing is the true embodiment the super sedan and the last true sports car with 4 wheels and a manual that we will ever see. Other than decently better interior, status symbol, and AWD (which some could argue takes away from the fun of the car), why would you buy a M5 CS? The Blackwing has a better engine, a better transmission (in the manual), a better suspension and is much more reliable than BMWs. Looks are subjective but they both are absolutely gorgeous cars. Plus the BW is much cheaper than the CS.

It is exhilarating in its own way but not spirited driving and some track work. Don’t think otherwise, the CS and the BW will BOTH be collector cars. They are different ways of doing spectacular things. Would you be wrong if you bought either car and you had the money? That answer is mostly no.

M5 CS is superior to the CT5 any day. The manual transmission argument is invalid in this day and age with how fast automatics shift and how they free up both hands for steering, not to mention they make for superior daily driver vehicles.

And as the last manual V8 Cadillac that will probably ever be made, unless people wake up and choose hydrogen ICE over electric, it's the more special choice. @@MasterBaker2020 The CT6-V Blackwing Engine was actually probably worse, according to many people who have driven vehicles with both engines. It apparently suffered from some turbo lag and a few other performance demerits. So it makes sense that they went back to the older engine. Note also that the equivalent BMW costs an extra $40,000. If you think about that, maybe the interior isn't as disappointing in that context.
