Getting my first Gipson this week after 30 years playing and singing around bars and with some people that has moved on to Nashville and are playing for a living now . After working two jobs for over 20 years and beating the hell out of every door to just let me play and sing hell most of the time for free just for the love of music and use to play a buddy’s J45 when he was in town I said one of these days I will own one well finely that day has come it is coming this week. All I can say to the young people out playing and getting up on stage just for the love of music never let anyone stop you or keep you down keep on keeping on . And yes the J45 is what I’m getting and this 50 year old man is still in shock after all this time I will own one thank you Gipson for making the Guitars you give for so many years. God Bless The USA 🇺🇸

I have a 2017 Gibson J45.. I am one of those guys who was around that guitar player when young, that played local bars and let you play it and showed you a few chords.. I'm no professional, I'm a guy who knows a few chords, keeps lyrics handy cuz I always forget em, and maybe one day I'll practice more when I retire, and have the time to explore more on the fret board. How I got my J45... I helped a client out with a product and saved them 26 thousand dollars, And a few weeks later I got a call requesting I pick something up for them at a local music store... When I got there, the J45 was waiting with my name on it... A gift for doing something for a client.. I am what I consider an appreciator of acoustic music, and the old troubadour type players and songwriters... And I think the best way to explain when a guitar feels right, is when you pick it up, put it against your body and strum it and it goes through to your soul, and you don't want to put it down, Or when you strum a C7 at the 5th fret or pick a lick that you've hit on many guitars but that guitar sustains, rings, travels to your soul in a way that just sounds and feels "right" to you.... I believe that feeling happened alot for J45 owners and players... I'm looking forward to seeing this movie when it finally makes it out... Good luck and happy pickin n grinnin..

The J-45 sonically has beauty in it’s Kaos. That’s why so many singer songwriters still gravitate to them. Every time you play one you hear something exotic that inspires or leads you off to a new beginning. To a point where they musically kind of have a mind of there own . When you truely believe in what your playing it’ll mimick the mood your feeling and ride along. I loving mine more & more everyday. It’s, Neva boring, it’s neva dead, It’s Neva pigeoned holed when released. It’s just a dancer to the moments.

We appreciate your support and your anticipation is encouraging. This trailer was released before the global pandemic which definitely broke a few of our strings and delayed a ton of our plans. Even now it's a challenge to reschedule some of the key interviews we had locked in for 2020. But this trailer has also led to some of the best interviews yet filmed just this past month. Art takes as long as it takes and this film has too many amazing stories in it to not take the time to make it right. The only silver lining in this global delay is that the footage we have filmed in the last year is some of the best, most beautiful and mindblowing footage for the film yet. I’ve seen a few replies to people asking if this movie is still going to release. I’m glad to know it’s still in the process of being put out. I recently purchased a 2020 Gibson J-45 and aside from the immediate personal satisfaction I got from owning such an amazing instrument, I also looked at a lot more videos and online material about them. I continually hear words like “workhorse and icon” used whenever people speak about this guitar. After having spent time with it, I feel these words are an apt description of what is probably the last acoustic guitar I’ll purchase or even want. Can’t wait till this movie comes out! 😊

Wow this looks great and I can't wait to see it someday . I didn't know very much at all about acoustic guitars, my friend had an Epiphone J160 Lennon model, that's all i knew, i bought one too but the guitar was made in Indonesia and after only 3 weeks I had to bring it back to GC bc the strings were now sitting right on the frets that's how badly the neck went south. I again not knowing jack shit about acoustics went searching for another Epiphone J160 Lennon model . While searching this second time around i started looking at the Gibson J-160 it was then that a random KZbinr said " hey go for the J45 instead they are a much better guitar" I was skeptical but went for it and found a 2015 J45 with white waverly open back tuners on Ebay and bought it, I had no idea how it would sound or play, WELL the rest is history( in my own mind of course) as this J45 with those beautiful white Waverly tuners blew my mind. Art takes as long as it takes my friend...and we're making a truly amazing and beautiful film that you are going to love!! Trust us...when there's a release date you're gonna see and hear about it everywhere! Until then, if you truly care about the instrument and the spirit of this film....cheer us on or help us out and critique the final product when it's ready rather than the production schedule. ✌
