Hello, I have noticed that when I play a Slot, and get a Bonus where you have to pick 3 matching symbols, I always end up with 2 of all the symbols up front first, 2 Mini, 2 minor, 2 Major, 2 grand. The next one to get the set of 3 is 90% Mini. I think that the ones that are left to pick to get 3 are already programmed in the machine. You can’t see them, so I believe all the once that are left, no matter what you pick, is the Mini for 90% of the time. Also, the wheel machines, When ever I get the Bonus to spin the wheel, its 90% of the lower 2-3 amounts. I hit a bonus on one machine 3 times, it stated on the low amount, let’s say $30. The first spin was $30, then another bonus spin, started at $30, hit at $30, it happened the 3rd time, started at $30, hit at $30. What are the odds at that?

I think it determines your win the moment you hit the start bonus button. The rest that happens once you start a bonus is theatrics. Mini's hit a lot more often because the odds to win them are better than the minor and way better odds than a major or grand.

When you try to hit 3 matching symbols and get 3 symbols do you see what the other square has hiding. If you don't see what is hidden behind the other squares you can't control what you pick. It is predetermined when you click the original spin button to get the bonus round. But if you see what is hidden behind the other squares then what you choose is what you get. It is not determined by the slot. That is usually the older machine. The newer machines control what you pick.

I have heard from slot machines techs that the machines are programmed for a specific payout percentage, and the wins are random. To change the percentage is quite a process and would take a machine offline for hours. Also, higher denominations can bring higher payouts.

Can't get my head around tipping people for just doing their job. It is difficult enough to win in a casino without having to tip staff and pay the Government taxes on wins above $1200. In Australia, casino employees are not allowed to receive tips and there is no tax payable on any type of gambling wins. I love Vegas but it's a Crazy system in the US.

In Canada there hasn't been any taxes payable in lottery or casino wins, I play Texas hold em live poker, when I win a good hand,say 200-450$ I generally tip the dealer 5-8$, if it's under 100$ perhaps 2-3$, a true monster I've tipped 20$, likely a casino record ,literally, it depends on the hand & the dealer, slots completely different, although when I've won 500$ I've likely given 10-20$ depending,lol I feel it's lucky to share the wealth & keep the good feeling going,lol, just me

I tip 10% of my win unless over $5000 then it’s 5% and when I was dealt a royal in high limit room at the ORLEANS in Las Vegas I tipped 1500 so out of all 15 slot techs on the floor that night regardless what they made before my jackpot they all went home with at least $100 but Vegas employees depend and survive on their tips and for you people to say not to tip or like this guy in the video 0.5-2% for a tip. My GOD I think you need to take your heads out your asses and go bust your hump for a week doing the job of what these people do and we see how you feed your family at the end of the week on $400 or $450 at best after taxes. So stop being so damn cheap and hoarding all your Pennies and when you get a nice win. Pass on the win in a form of a gracious tip so you can pass on the love and gift of giving. Yup. good advice. With some machines, the bigger the jackpot the bigger the bonus wins. But most Las Vegas slots are not like that. If you go to play in states that have only slots and no other gambling like table games, usually at horse tracks, there are machines specifically made for those places. And those machines will pay more on bonus rounds when the jackpots are built up high. But lately, they have been getting Las Vegas machines and converting them to play like Race Track machines but with Las Vegas payouts and odds. The only difference is they added in the graphics of horses racing between spins to show that it is based on horse racing not completely on slot gambling. The odds of hitting jackpots have been greatly reduced since 4 or 5 years ago. At least it appears to me that way.

one thing to remember at least for my part of the world casino workers do not make all that much an hour servers maybe 9 or so an hour plus tips and they share their tips with the bartender filling their orders and slot attendants maybe about 9 - 11 an hour plus tips. tips must be turned in at end of shift cause they are taxed too. Some departments like dealers their tips are shared with the shift they are working. very rarely are any of them hired as full time workers which mean no insurance or insurance they just cannot afford. So tip what you can and what you feel comfortable tipping.

I have notice in Oregon slots that there is a "rollover". By this I mean, I was watching the prize amount meter one time and hit like 15 thousand pennies. Just as it read 15,000 it rolled over to 1,500, and only paide $15 instead of the higher amount. Any comments?

I disagree on number seven. I have one multiple majors and I hit them All except one and very minimum major I think that machine is a lot tighter when the progressives are maxed out because think about it. There's going to be a lot more foot traffic on that specific slot machine just because it's maxed out but why give out the major before the max out My theory is once people see other people with a lot of money and they automatically go to that machine Right after you're done ... You know it is also to take the Tickets that people leave in the Machine no matter how small the Amount. You supposed to give to Security . I saw a lady getting escorted out of the Casino for 5cents she cashed it out of the Machine and then stuck it back in and then her cash. All the Machines have Cameras above. They ask her if she permission from the person to play the Machine. Some people leave anywhere 5 to 50cents in the Machine because they have to use the Restrooms. If I have 25 cents left and ready to leave I cash out and hand to the person next to me, which is legal.
