I still use my Klein HD-2009-NE as my linesmen’s. I love Knipex linesmen’s. But I feel bad slamming stuff with them. And the Klein ones cut all-thread and everything without any damage. They’re my workhorses. I just can’t make the switch. The rest of my tool bag is Knipex for pliers.

I’ve had three knipex lineman’s pliers and with every one I had the same problem. The cutting edges would start rolling over eachother. Seems to be too much play in the hinge, went back to kleins. Can’t beat the classic. I’ve also find channel locks lineman’s are a decent budget plier.

After metal splinters incidents I use gloves for everything so I only need nitrile dipped pliers. Only insulated tools I have are the Klien slim screwdrivers and the Wiha VDE needlenose. My bag is mostly Klien and Knipex. Still have my Klien clamp meter but have an unopened Fieldpiece meter.

I appreciate the time and thought it took just to plan out that segment. Great job! Love my Knipex pliers. Lord knows I have way more Knipex than I need. lol. You should had some Snap-On plies to your collection. The new 7 inch slip joint long nose are quickly becoming my go to pliers.

That hybrid Klein, grey color 8" thats an excellent little alternative - strippers /linemans

Well you heard it here officially folks, ten inches is in fact better than 8...😂 love the commitment to this video man awesome collection of tools! Knipex is God tier, I do find myself going back to the good ole USA made klein tools every now and then though🤙🏽

The Felo vde diagonals etc. almost look exactly like the NES vde diag. Not sure which one wins, but those designs are banging .

Wiha also has diagonal industrial vde plier that maybe you can tell me what the power button does on it. Im guessing its a leverage adjuster .

I had the same experience. I wish they cut better. The handles make me want to use them tho
@andrewcrossman216510 күн бұрын
@@americanelectrician Oh damn really, I never used them yet?! Yeah it literally had yet to be seen on my end, granted the Felo counterpart, which looks of a hell of a lot like it, it's almost twice the price. I'm assuming that's the ticket if you want those pliers.

Knipex cutting tools are overrated compared to Klein, channellock, wiha and some other brands. The cobras, alligators and pliers wrench are 2nd to none but their cutting edge dulls to fast
