I feel this. My last name was Suchanec. We used to collect mispronunciations. I liked my principal senior year. He spent 5 minutes with each of us earnestly making sure he'd pronounce our names correctly. He then talked to my grandpa, who I was lucky enough to have playing in the alumni band that did our processional and recessional. I think, no worries, it was his dad who broke the name through Ellis Island, all good. Principal said my name 3 times during graduation each time he mispronounced it differently. I just laughed to myself; what else could I do? My mom and I discussed it later and just shook or heads. At least it wasn't Satanic or Shnecky, my favorite worst pronunciations.
