@@davidcabrera5811 they went to the market which is currently under construction, the place they ate at is a temporary place while the market is being rebuilt. its 5x more dirty and chaotic because of that. normally its pretty clean.

Piaya (pronounced as pee-ya-ya) is actually my favorite Filipino snack of all time. And I highly recommend you eat it hot or fresh from the bakery. It's good to see you guys visit local markets and eat local food recommended by locals of course. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Very true, Iloilo is pretty snazzy. La Paz batchoy was my first meal when i got to the city. Enjoyed the walking tour as always and happy to see Ducky enjoying Iloilo as well. Lapaz batchoy is known for being the original source of batchoy but its so ubiquitous now that every local restaurant sells it. Lots of crushed deep fried garlic makes the soup taste delish. Hi from Indiana. Im born and raised there until after college and then came to the US. Ive been here since then like 40 years ago. But I go home for visits. So youre giving me a memory lane walk of the places Im accustomed to be during my college years. Went to CPU one of the best universities there. My family decided to always stay in hotels at Smallville the new section but I did go a few times to the old downtown to refresh my memorable moments actually the best memories of my college life. Thanks and enjoy being in a city that offers so much to visitors without the stress of Manila or Cebu. And cheap!

Enjoy your stay in ILOILO. Public markets around the city are being reconstructed, so chaotic temporary stalls along the streets were made. You have just walk one part of Riverwalk Esplanade, its around 10Km stretch😅 You may visit Festive walk specially at night guys.. Also experience Isla Gigantes 🙌

Please tour Iloilo not just in daytime but also at nighttime when the nighttime lights flood the bldgs, churches, fountains, belfries, mansions, parks and Spanish-era plazas, and malls. The streets are clean and wide and well-maintained, landscaped and flooded with night lights it's like you are strolling at daytime, especially at the beautiful Diversion Road, 10 lanes, with biking lanes and riverside Esplanades for strolling, sightseeing, jogging, exercising, Zumba, fishing and birdwatching at the adjacent riverside Esplanades. What more could you ask for?

Wow you've been to 3 of the major Visayas islands, Cebu, Bohol and Panay Islands(where Iloilo is).. What's left is the Negros, Samar and Leyte islands. Also, you better travel to Palawan because its like paradise there

Almost all Iloilo market now is under renovation it is part of beautification of the city, it would be the next world class market in the Philippines also this coming march it will start the underground cable in the area where mostly the tourist spot so expected to be congested in traffic.
