Holy Week this week! Malls will be closed and stores as well, make sure to stock up! Not sure about transportation but AVOID travelling this Thursday and next Monday~ expect traffic from people coming back from vacation in Monday and people getting out of Manila for vacation this Thursday!

I love early mornings and late nights in PH. That's one of the things I really miss there. It's so nice to have your breakfast/dinner with open windows/doors or even outside by your balcony or garden, with the warm air energizing you rather than freezing air that drains energy. Why does Isaac wear shoes and socks 24/7? Even in his room LOL. It's a white dude thing I guess. That's what I notice at least. Whenever I visit PH, I always take advantage of being able to wear flip flop and shorts all the time.

Once in Japan, walk around the local neighborhood and youll find small stores selling freshly cooked snacks like Karaage, Takoyaki (Octopus balls), Yakisoba, Fried pounded Ikageso (Squid), assorted sweet mochi balls, sankyodai (3 siblings) mochi balls on stick and other sweets. Choose Ramen (look for the creamy Champong ramen) from authentic Japanese owned resto and not the Chinese ones.

The iced tea is cranberry...that's very popular in the restarants here because its not a famiiar taste. We dont have cranberies here. So its refreshing to have a different flavor other than mngo or pineapple if you dont want a soda with your meal. Btw nice hair... and i think that made you win the handminton match haha...

Holy week is very special to Filipinos, you guys want to go to a Visita Iglesia. It is a Filipino tradition visiting 7 to 14 Catholic churches every Holy Thursday. Manila has a lot of century old churches, by just walking, you can complete the 14 churches inside the city.

If you guys are going to Japan. I highly recommend going to Red Rock Harajuku. Since you guys like meat & rice. My son had the Roast Beef and I had the Steak. They are both delicious. The price is very reasonable.

Summer in Japan is July and August with temperature similar to Phil summer. Just take note. Include Universal Studio in Osaka and make an early beeline at the Harry Potter ride which is very popular.

I love the epic indie filmaking. Carrying on an American tradition of making short films with films and family. Our American friend sent us a copy of a short film they made with his brother and close friends, Complete with script, cheap and cheesy costumes, pyrotechnics, and horrible (or artistic) indie acting. It was shot with a camcorder and it was weird and funny as hell. It's no wonder folks that Hollywood is in America because of thousands of guys and gals just making short films.
