I'm German and unfortunately I have to tell you that at every game played by 5-year-olds there is 20 times more atmosphere and singing than what goes on in the USA. Any team from Europe that has something like that in the USA would embarrass itself for centuries. I recommend that you study the history of Europe and the war that raged in Europe for over 1,200 years. The stadiums of the cities at that time were the besieged cities that were to be conquered. There is a saying: “Football is war only by other means”. That's exactly it.

You learn the chants by attending matches, you sing it with other fans and that's how you memorize it I'm Chelsea FC's fan but I live in Poland, so I can't be at every match every week, but I watch all their matches at home and know some of the chants too I was at their matches twice already and singing it with other fans feels amazing Stadiums in Europe are actually smaller than in USA or roughly the same size (if we are talking about the biggest teams), in Europe most big clubs have 40 000 - 60 000 capacity, while in USA american football stadiums that some of MLS teams use have over 60 000 capacity

@@surgemusic9282 My first visit to SB for 35 years will be on Sunday,26th January for my first-ever Womans game: Chelsea v Arsenal. It will be good to see SB again. The last time I was there we broke the police cordon at Fulham Broadway as we had a car and ran into around 500 Chels in a deserted backstreet after the game I told my M8 to assimilate and we marched and chanted with them until a bridge, where they went one way and we went the other way to the car. lol Also, ran into them at Boxhill at the local station around Easter where around 100 of them were chasing youths on our London-bound platform so we ran along the railway lines too. Now I'm 70,I hope it will be less agg. on Sunday week lol

7:50 "FRAMÅT MALMÖ" "HEJA DI BLÅE" "FORWARD MALMÖ" "COME ON THE BLUES" Call and respond chant from the Most Champions and the reigning champions of Sweden, Malmö FF. That was away in the Uefa Euro League against Chelsea as 3500 Malmö fans were outsinging 36500 Chelsea fans away at Stamford Bridge. Our own home support is electrifying with megasize flags, big tifo displays and flares. We usually sing for 2 hours straight minus 15 minutes at half time break.

Most of these were the AWAY fans, so, , just, one segregated, section like the street March in another Country and only one section singing like Paris, Malmo(Sweden) in London, and those Greek fans in England. ENJOY and, kindly, let me know what you think..In European competitions, often, thousands of Away fans gather and get escorted, on foot, to the Home Stadium:)

Wait until you listen to English football chants; it ain't doing a few words for the most part, full songs/chants about the players/team/city (they can get personal). Also the term Soccer was coined by them London lot, but look at the oldest football club in the world (Sheffield FC).

That was fun!😄👍🏻 Whoever said that northern Europeans are cold and aloof hasn't seen them watch football!⚽🏟️📢 If you're considering reacting to the basketball comparison, I would also suggest "HOSTILE Fans: Euroleague vs NBA" by Heat Check. It's far more recent than any similar video and it's narrated so you won't have to wonder what you're watching.

The US has a geography problem for sports, and a business problem. The top clubs get their fans from potentially multiple states as the "local" support. People live in suburbs. People watch the games in their homes. You might have a gathering for a big game. Pubs/Bars playing the game could be miles and miles away. Then you only have like 32 teams for the whole country in say, the NFL and they play a lot less games... and there is no tiers of divisions with relegation and promotion for upcoming teams and locales to grow and move up and get bigger as others suffer. Europe can have city's boroughs divided by top tier clubs. London had like 7 Premier League clubs each with their own stadiums and that's just the top division, like the NFL or NBA of England. That'd be like Manhattan having two teams, Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens, Newark and Long Island all having NFL teams, with their own 50-100K people stadiums, right in the middle of suburbs. No spawling parking lots. Pubs on every other road. Can walk to the stadium with thousands of others flowing in from every direction. Bronx vs Queens is suddenly a lot more of a spicy match because your part of your geographic and cultural area. The away fans streaming in will feel like they are in the enemy's turf. The teams and supporters will develop a strong personality and the sporting beef with your neighbours will fuel chants.
