You have to be 17 to learn to drive here, generally speaking it's a bit more involved to learn to drive compared to most states in the US. We don't have 'drivers' ed' in school here, when you're 17 you can apply for a provisional license. During that time you can drive with someone who is licensed for I think at least 3 years but you need to have L plates stuck on your car. (In wales they use D plates). They're just squares with a red L to show you're a learner. You also need to do a theory test, so you go away to a test centre and well, do a theory test. You'll do lessons like Simon was doing here and your instructor will say you're ready for the test, so you then book that. There's no requirement on number of hours you need to do before you can do your test, it depends on how good you are and if you have family/friends taking you out between lessons. Your actual test is then about an hour long in most places and you'll have various stages, like being told to follow road signs to X location. Then asked to do emergency stopped blah blah. I've heard some places in the US it's basically a test in a car park to show you know how to stop and start a car. Also here your license covers for both manual and automatic but you can do an automatic only, the vast majority of cars here are manual thought modern cars it's becoming more and more common to be automatic. Certainly my generation if you drove an automatic which wasn't some high powered 8-12 geared monster, you were considered a bad driver.

The four guys did an interview where they mentioned that as this was the first season, it hadn't aired on TV yet. So while they were filming all the scenes in the amusement park, they were getting lots of odd looks from the members of the public who had no idea what was being filmed (carrying the door and walking around in speedos). Hence the reaction when they came off the ride (she hadn't noticed the filming crew yet).

The woman getting hit with the frisbee wasn't the funniest part of that scene for me, it was more when Will was trying to get his frisbee back from her and then Donovan and the rest of the older boys playing football saw it, thought he was trying to steal it from her then started chasing them. In the Uk you have a 40 minute test and you actually have to drive places. Plus you drive stick for most part. you can take a test in an automatic but this means you can not drive stick, which most cars in the Uk are.

You have to be 17 to drive in the UK, but before you get your licence you need to drive around 40 hours worth of lessons with an instructor before you do a practical test. And before you can sit your practical test you need to do a theory exam and pass that. The practical exam is pretty hard to pass, and it's pretty common for people to sit this practical exam around 2 to 3 times before they pass. It's worth mentioning that the test and all lessons take place on the roads and not in a 'test centre'.

We were all trained to operate all the rides, so we rotated around, and that crappy little slide, sent more people to the medic than everything else in the park combined. Don't ever go on those things! Go on the big, scary-looking rides. You won't get hurt on those. Spare the poor operator from having to fill out the incident form!

Loving the videos guys. Don't be too sad when you finish the inbetweeners as the same writer did another 2 season series called White Gold with Simon and Jay in it (as different characters obviously) and I think it's even better!!

I'm sure you've heard this before as you've watched lock stock. Two essential films - Snatch and Green Street Hooligans (as you've watched the football chants). Snatch is a must if anything.

The inbetweeners. Quite possible THE best comedy series ever created & we've created some good stuff in the UK. I think especially because us Brits relate too it so much. I'm in my late 30s & can remember lads & girls at school very much like each group/character. The lad in our year like Jay regularly spent his breaktimes asking all the girls to be in a porno he wanted to make....& I kid you not that guy went on to be a conservative MP. 😆 New Sub btw....loving 're watching some great comedy & enjoying your reactions too it.

Would be great to see Friday night dinner on here, it features Simon Bird who plays William Mckenzie in The Inbetweeners. His dad in the show is absolute comedy gold, unfortunately he is no longer with us, but left us such a great gift with his character Martin Goodman on Friday night dinner. Its basically a show about a stereotypical middle class Jewish family in suburban England who come together each Friday and always have an absolutely hilarious series of events. It ran for 6 seasons aswell and similar to the inbetweeners never got old and the final season was as good if not better than the first

The scene where you see Simon with the Door and Neil half naked at Thorpe park.... That's the kind of scenery you see at the Kings Arms Pub where I live in Cumbria the UK, I went for a pint the other day and a 70 year old bloke was playing 8 ball pool in a mankini, no fancy dress just having a few beers and a game of pool and there's an old guy who has a glass eye who puts it in peoples drinks to freak em out ha ha ha.... brilliant laugh.

My pal had a fiat Cinquecento.. used to throw it around like it was a rally car lol.. Also back in 2014 I used to go to a classic and specialist car auction in east London. .. this actual car was there with the red door .. one off the series . They did a big speech about it as it went through the auction hall

17 to drive a car, 16 to ride a moped/ motorcycle 50cc with a restricted output (Max 30MPH) At 17, you can have it unrestricted... You might get, up to 50mph then, unless you get s bigger cc bike... You can drive, if disabled under, these conditions here in England- You can apply for a provisional driving licence when you're 15 years and 9 months old. You can start driving a car when you're 17. You can drive a car when you are 16 if you get, or have applied for, the enhanced rate of the mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

I was on the bus going to Oxford from my home town, sat with an elderly gentleman, a crazy person overtook the bus in a village called Clanfield whilst going at a crazy speed & the gentleman turns to me to say "bloody women drivers!" All the ladies on the bus looks at him angrily until we reached Witney where the same driver had pulled over, we all looked out the bus window & fare enough it was a woman driver
