This episode hit me really hard, in many ways it's uncanny just how much of what happens in this show happened to me and my friends when we where this age. When I was 18 my family went away on holiday and left me in the house on my own for two weeks, as I was a selfish arsehole at the time I got them to put our dog into kennels while they where away so I could go out drinking and pissing about. Our 10 year old dog Sadie died in kennels the day before we were supposed to go collect her. I can't express just how distraught I was, the guilt was unbearable. It remains as the only regret I have in life 25 years later.

Normally a big fan of you guys reactions but I didn’t enjoy this one much at all if I’m honest. The episode whilst maybe not the best ever is still pretty funny but understand we’ve all our own views. I’m sure almost everyone loves dogs myself included, but I was pissing myself with the “I’ll never wank again” when Jays plan backfired after telling his parents Benji was shitting in the house. That as well as the massive sense of guilt and regret written all over Jays face when he sees the squirrel lying there…a little like when Neil punched the fish. He’d went all out not to be made to look a mug in front of his mates and realised his mistake instantly. There’s definitely humour to be found within their actions. I’m sure most of us did a little vandalism as teenage boys too. Of course I’d be pissed off if that happened to my garden nowadays, but it’s exactly the kinda relatable stupid shit a lot of us got up to back then. We come tit village 😆 Just felt you took it all way too seriously here. The additional editing/censoring didn’t help things either.

Just to echo others' comments and I hope you take this in the spirit it is intended. I've really enjoyed your reactions to the Inbetweeners but this felt, for the first time, like it had become too Americanised. I understand the desire to appease You Tube as that's likely going to impact your income but the censorship is frankly ridiculous. I f you are going to censor, there really is no point reacting to a show like The Inbetweeners. It's like making somebody a chocolate cake while trying not to use any chocolate. I can't understand the moralising either. The object of this comedy is to take you to dark places - none of these characters is meant to be a role model to anybody. The message is that these are four boys, who are so pathetic/hopeless that you want to laugh at/ridicule them. You're not supposed to admire or want to be them. When you start weighing up their morals, you miss the point. The joke of the squirrel scene is not that it is funny to run over a squirrel - it is that Jay is sufficiently insecure to need to come out as the winner in a game of chicken in front of his mates. The joke of the old woman being kicked in the face (which, incidentally, attracted less outrage than Jay trying to temporarily lose the dog) is that Will would rather knock out an old woman than own the fact he lowered himself to the others' level. Nobody is saying it is funny to kick an old woman in the face. The moment you start trying to clean that stuff up is, I suspect, the moment a lot of your British viewers lose interest. It always baffled me that US comedies can be exported and the British audience gets either to take them as they are or leave them yet the courtesy can't be returned. I've always hated it that the Americans can't do the same - the best example of this being the way the original of The Office was altered (or ruined, depending on your viewpoint) in order to make it more palatable to an American audience. Your reaction videos to the Inbetweeners have been a real breath of fresh air in that respect as it always seemed that you both just understood the British humour - celebrated it even. Please keep it that way! I'm looking forward to the reactions to the last episode and the films so I really hope this one was just a blip. Over censored reaction to the films will really kill the experience and the appeal.

Kicking down flowers and running over a squirrel are not cool, but slamming the door on to an old lady is hilarious. A certain contradiction there....

British humour hasn't got any limits, it will just continously push the boundaries all the time. I do agree on the flower and squirrel things though but that was the kinda ruthless shit I always saw growing up over here

I respect how you guys cope with a hurricane. Here in the South East of England in 1987 we had a windy night which people still talk about 🤣 it's known as the Great storm of 1987, and some people say it was a hurricane 😉

Or was it the great wind of 1987?? (Vicar of Dibley reference ;) )

I'm a retired London firefighter, I was on duty on that windy night in 87. 18 people were killed and 15 million trees were blown down across the country, winds reached 89mph with gusts of up to 134mph. In a career of nearly 32 years, I can honestly say that I have never seen such widespread destruction, and being out in it was pretty damn scary, given a choice, I'd opt for the burning building. And yes.....I'm one of those who still talks about it 🤣

Where you at in East Sussex Dave? I was 6 years old in Peacehaven when it hit....about 5 mins away from the caravan site Rushy hill that got destroyed right on the coast. Scary night!

I dunno, I could put up with the constant pausing and OTT laughing (does anyone REALLY get out of their seat, walk across the room and fall on a couch while watching a sitcom?) but this censoring of all the clips is too much.

So, the most beloved comedy in the UK is 'Only Fools and Horses'. The starring character is Derek (Del Boy) Trotter. They made a prequel series called 'Rock and Chips' in which your beloved James played Del Boy as a youth.
