R6000 rands its unfurnished apartment studio apartment but in so many other areas R6000 gets you a one or two bedroom unfurnished apartment. but around 450 usd or 550 usd you get a 2 bedrooms apartment in very good areas. the bmw, mercedes etc cars are sold like any other brand in SA . they don't have any extra tax . those cars are built here in SA for so many years. the first bmw plant outside of Germany is the Rosylyn plant in pretoria . you can google it. south africa is the first country in the whole world to have a bmw plant after Germany. the bmw X3 and mercedes C class built here is exported to North America including USA and Canada. its very affordable to own a mercedes or Bmw in SA because they don't put extra tax on them. if you can afford the service then you can buy it like any other brand. and we have dealerships allover the country for all those brands. actually south african police use bmw, mercedes,VW and toyoyta cars. i think that video was shoot on a sunday

Waterfall city is not a city per se, it's technically a suburb or Johannesburg. Sandton, Roodeport, Rosebank are also suburbs of joburg but are big enough to be their own cities

cape town is in the top 10 most dangerous cities in the world. There's a reason for that. It has dangerous areas as well as well kept areas. Complete opposites of each other. No go zones where you'll lose everything incl your🪦. As far as living in the CBD - a 250 square foot apt where a book shelf separates a 2 seater couch and medium sized bed with your view being the backside of another building but you're in the city center (fairly safe, accessible) will cost you closer to 1000 usd + extra for utilities. Food and travel not included. No aircon (open a window) and heating (not really required). Might just get a parking bay thats not undercover but safe enough off street (if lucky). Head further in towards the coast (Camps Bay etc) and you start to see the prices jump extraordinarily higher
