it's not that they wanna LOOK feminine, it's just that fashion in korea and many asian countries has evolved past defining clothing as "oh this is for men, this is for women". they're comfortable enough to explore fashion past the concept of gender which is hella cool and part of the reason it's so fascinating tbh.

Koreans have good skin. Male and female. Genetics and diet. If they look feminine from it then your country, town, city are full of men with bad skin? Not BTS' fault. Makeup has no gender. You just choose to wear or not wear. Its a personal choice.

There are many other korean acts who truthfully look better than them (many of them were put down for being ugly because they don't fit the korean male standards for beauty, a long story for another day). Or sing better. Or dance better. BTS has the right package of everything though but its not what hook people to them. Its not the look, singing or dancing talents. I do suggest you watch "This Is BTS" by xCeleste. She debnks all the myths surrounding BTS and explains why BTS is popular. Thank you.

PreludeTV hopefully you react to other groups/soloist to!! trust me there as amazing to and have amazing music and beats, reacting to different groups will give you a bigger perspective of kpop and how there’s a lot of differences, check out some of these ( stray kids, jay park, nct127, got7, day6, jessi, CLC, ateez, wayv, exo, pentagon, monstax, cix, oneus, the boyz ) also just to let you know all of the members of these groups or soloist and many others arnt all full on korean many of them are mixed like some are american, canadian, thai, chinese, japanese, taiwanese, mexican so there either full or mixed, and MANY know english perfectly since many have been born here in the US or studied here, so don’t assume they don’t know because they do and fun fact a lot of the kpop/ k-hiphop music is influenced by western beats and traps :) and kpop is very criticized just because there korean, and well a lot of stereotypes😬and racism happens quite a lot to !!

@@Preludetv they have a lot of songs, a lot of them and a lot of albums, you look at the lyrics of BTS songs is very important, because the lyrics of your songs send a lot of messages and it's a strong point of the group. For example MIC DROP has a strong handwriting mainly for haters. They have the official version of the album which is more in Korean, but the version you saw was the remix that a lot of the music is in English. But all the kpop songs have English phrases in the middle . DYNAMITE for example the boys' latest release is all in English, but they love their language and will continue to make music in their language 💜

I understand people reacting to BTS for the first time not knowing what language they speak or where they are from, but why automatically assume chinese or japanese. You could just say they are asian and ask the viewers where they are from if you don't know. And like another has said they are singing and rapping in Korean with some english mixed in. There are 7 members 4 vocalists and 3 rappers and they are the biggest group in the world right now. They have had 4 number 1 albums in the US and just recently went to number 1 on the billboard hot 100 with their first ever english song Dynamite. They sell out stadiums all around the world and do a variety of genres hiphop, rnb, pop, and edm. All BTS fans ask of reactors to BTS is to be respectful and not to use BTS for views. We can tell pretty quickly who is sincere about learning more about BTS and who they are as artists. And yes korean men tend to look more feminine, but so what. I'm not saying these things to scare you away from reacting to more BTS, but just know what you are in for if you decide to react to more. Thanks for reacting though.

@@Preludetv Thanks for clearing that up and apologizing. It's just that BTS get knocked down time and time again for such stupid reasons. A lot of people call them gay or girls because of how they look and think of them nothing more than a manufactured "boy band" and it just gets tiring to erase people's preconceived notions about them. They have meant so much to people all over the world and they still don't get the proper credit they deserve. I've read comments where people have wished death upon them just because they sing in a language other than english. I really do hope you will learn about them. I've always said I don't care if you like kpop or BTS music, but give them the proper respect all people deserve.

Just read some of the comments... ... and thought to myself "this is why some people think Army is toxic." PreludeTV, as a first time reactor, you're doing fine. Some fans just are critical of everything and expect reactors to research before reacting to BTS for the first time (which is ridiculous... why would you do research on something if you're not even sure if you're going to like it and if you want natural, honest first time impressions?....) Don't worry- the immature/needy fans are often the loudest, but just know that many of us are reasonable. (BTS has a wide fanbase, age-wise. I am an adult but I tell myself the ridiculous fans are probably teenagers or something- which may be age-ist of me, but I am HOPING they are teenagers and not adults because, they need to grow up lol) Within the first minute, you already basically said "Please don't get offended, we don't know anything about BTS". Hi, some things about this boys. *Bts Is south Korean group, this days people prefer don't mix them with kpop. Kpop is just a label to say that everything that comes out of Korea is that (false) bts is not considered kpop because of its great repertoire of genres and that it does not follow the same line of the kpop industry. 1. They are 7, 4 vocalist, 3 rappers (2 underground rappers) all dancers 2. Bts compose and produce their own music, so is very personal, they talk about mental health, politics, society, their fans, self love, etc 3. They have a story behind their videos so is difficult to new people understand, we (the armys) used to read a several books and study set, philosophy, psychology and mythology to understand. Their last album for example was "map of the soul: 7" and is inspired by the psychologist book the map of the soul by Murray. 4. The army love them because they are good people who through a lot of bad things to be where they are now, and even being famous they stay humble. 5. They have a lot of genres but their base is very hiphop / rap. Also you can find subtitles in every possible language thanks to the fans, u only need to search with the name of the song. **Bts always present themselves as a Korean group, and always said they don't want to be labeled in a genre or industry. The fans also do not want to be mixed with kpopers, (most of us aren't kpop fans) we don't have the same ideals

I think you will enjoy the solo work from the 3 rappers in BTS, they all have mixtapes outside of their group. Also turn on subtitles their lyrics are amazing! So bts consists of three rappers - two of which were underground rappers before joining and one was a street dancer - and four singers. - the best hip hop tracks of theirs are "ugh", "ddaeng", "cypher pt 4" ( and "Daechwita", a solo track from Suga/Agust D) their lyrics are very intricate especially ddaeng and ugh (mic drop not so much), if you want to understand these tracks you should watch the explained by a Korean Videos about these songs. :)

TBH with you , Kpop is kinda a complex term. Especially if your not familiar with the music / business . Kpop isn’t just music but it’s really a multi billion dollar korean entertainment industry . You don’t just got music but you also got modeling , acting , fashion , etc . But for the most part kpop Is known for music . So yes kpop does stand for korean pop like the genre of korean pop music specifically . But it also stands for korean POPULAR MUSIC . Meaning you don’t just got “pop music “, but you also have hip hop , RnB , pop, edm, trap rock, jazz, blues , ballads , even Latin pop influences etc . Kpop takes a lot of American music influences / artists / rappers and fuse it all in one . Every kpop group is bit different from one another depending on their style . Some are more rap / hip hop influences like BTS, some are more pop , some are RnB influences , and some are just SUPER VERSATILE WITH MANY STYLES AND GENRES , BTS being one of them .

ARMY is very supportive of KZbinrs who are respectful and sincere with their reactions. But it does demand a lot of respect for boys. They are wonderful, talented, hardworking, highly educated human beings, with beautiful hearts and very humble. They donated a million dollars to BLM and you know what? They did not have to do it ... nor is it their race ... nor is it their country but they are people who really want to contribute something positive to the world and are very interested in social causes.
