7 of the 8 existing Giant Clam species are found in the the Philippines. The Cape Verde Passage south of Luzon is the center of the Coral Triangle, which is known as the center of marine biodiversity in the world. Luzon is also the place that had the most number of newly discovered land mammal species in the last few decades.

Actually our national animal of Malaysia is the Malayan Tiger! Well, the mouse deer is do in fact the state animal of Malacca, one of states of Malaysia!
@wannaim6958
@wannaim6958 3 жыл бұрын
These animals are RARE, but some of them can be found in our country, Malaysia too. They have their cousins in my country. No. 10, the Malayan Colugo looks exactly the same to a rookie like me. No. 4, the Mousedeer - well, it is not our National animal, but it is indeed one of the most recognizable animals by most Malaysians and a state animal of Malacca. No. 2, the Horsfield's Tarsier can be found in Borneo island (Sabah & Sarawak). And last but not least, No. 8 - our Malayan Peacock Peasant is beautiful too, but less striking in colour as compared to its Palawan cousin.

Pronounce Tamaraw as [tama-RAHW] with the distinct W as in "Rao" not "raw." Use the five basic Spanish-style vowels [a-e-i-o-u], not the more than 20 excessive vowels used in English. It's a "mouse" deer, not "mousse" deer! It's not supposed to be a dessert.
