Bahala Ka Sa Buhay Mo = This is hard, its like “U are on ur own now”. but Buhay means life and Mo is u, its like everything in ur life is upto u right now or the one who is saying that to u, is giving up on u.

Fun facts about chicken or pork adobo, the vinegar and soy sauce complement the taste and the seasonings but adobo could last even 2 weeks if you put it in the fridge or freezer because of the vinegar in the meat it is anti mold, bacteria, the adobo will not be contaminate

the filipino mom part means, you cant respond with an attitude or in a different tone and never forget the "PO and OPO" words that show respect to elders.

im 33, and the only person in the world that scares me is my mom .. its more of a respect thing! i mean, physically! i dont mind😅 but you know, when my mom says "GO HOME!" I SHOULD BE HOME AFTER 10 MINUTES😅😂😂😂 a filipino household is a matriarchal type .. i mean, the father is the head of the household BUT when a mother say NO, ITS A NO!😅😂😂 you know what i mean?

At the 18 min mark where in they are placing thier hand on the fore head. Is called mano.. which translates to how we greet our elders with respect. By taking their hand and placing it on our fore head.

"Mano Po" or back of the hand to the forehead is a gesture of respect for the elderly and if you have a lot of elders in your family reunion... Yeah 😅

The Hand gesture, when you see your or any elder, you need to pay respect by putting their hand on your forehead. It also means sign of respect to your uncle, auntie, mother, father, grandfather, grandmother, godmother, godfather as well as your girlfriend's mother and father when you visited their homes and to your friends elder as well. Then they will say "bless you" and many good things to come to your life because you are respectful. It's equivalent to Japanese people when they are bowing their heads to say thank you or greeting their elders.

Mano po. Is an act of respect when you meet your elders like your parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents. It is done by bending over in front of the elderly and take his/her hand and put his/her hand's back on your forehead while saying "mano po" or with added noun such as "mano po auntie/tita" and "mano po lola/granma" And the elder will respond saying "bless you" or just nodding at you

As a sign of respect and reverence to elders, the youth will reach out for the hand of the elder and then bring that hand to their foreheads in a bow position

Mano po means your hands please and some Latinos said that there’s a thing that kinds similar to that or gives the same vibes of giving respect

That thing that you’re talking is a sign of respect to your elders the greeting initiates the gesture of touching the back of the hand of an elder lightly on one's forehead. That makes us unique when we are giving respect it doesn’t matter if it’s not your relative as long as that person is older than you

I'm not an expert but these are the translations I can provide. Sorry for not having time stamps: "Are u prom Uganda?" -> "prom" is "from" but with Filipino accent "Because u maganda" -> "maganda" means "beautiful" "Ay nako" -> just an expression; no real translation "Ay putang ina mo" -> cuss phrase as evidenced by the word "puta" in there; basically translates to "your mom's a hoe" "Bakla" -> "gay" "Kainan" -> basically means "place to gather to eat" or something like that; but he sounded like he said "kain na", which means "come & eat" or like "dig in" "Bahala ka sa buhay mo" -> difficult to translate because the word "bahala" doesn't have an English equivalent, so the phrase in the video more _feels_ like it says "who cares whatever happens to your life" or "let whatever happen to your life"; it's also a common negative comment here and as another commenter said, this is said when someone angry or frustrated just gives up on you on anything Not a translation but the rooster sound we make is "tok-tora-ok" & not whatever "cocka-doodle-doo" is. "Chicharon" -> idk what you guys call it in English but it's a crunchy snack that's made with either pork or shrimp "Tubig" -> Filipino word for "water" "Sampal" -> "slap"

I think the title should’ve been Filipino Americans can relate to. The whole eating with the feet isn’t even a thing. I was in Fallschurch VA two weeks ago. There’s a Filipino authentic restaurant at Alexandria/skyline area. You got mentioned DC I’m assuming you’re around there
