Milk works extremely well with British black tea....of course it would never be added to any fruit teas....the milk makes it more rounded, less bitter mmm

Not only for the British … just ask the Frisians in northern Germany … they drink even more tea per capita than the Brit’s and Turks … and they use Milk/cream

We love the Brits! And here's a German agreeing: Any green and black tea basis has to be served with milk, including herbal teas. Fruit teas make the only exception. :)

Their are some difference between ales which are usually craft beer drank at room temperature, but lagers are what is usually drank in pubs served chilled

british ales arnt served "warm" but slightly chilled and dont expect table service everywhere you go you will have to order at the bar , and no we dont take our tea set everywhere we go

75 cents for a beer is a bit expensive in Germany. You can get it from just 25 cents for half a liter. My brother only drinks his tea with milk and I'm constantly shaking my head because I find it disgusting. Ruins the whole tea taste.

Travel tip - when you order coffee in the UK, I recommend you order black coffee. Many places will assume you will put milk in it. Sometimes it will come with milk in it.

To be honest: When you go to North Frisia (located in northern Germany) you will get the same Tea they do in GB.

IMO even better. I live near FfM and we are ordering our "Ostfriesentee" for decades from the source. I don´t want to miss my tea ritual with "Stövchen", Kandis and Sahne. Especially during fall and winter. Ok, ok, a good Grog might be substitude in winter 😉

The english tea is so strong - you have to add some milk. I am a tea drinker the best for me - Earl grey with milk, but when I went to London - I got a so strong black tea in the evening - I hardly could sleep - unbelievable 😂 Love from Austria 🇦🇹

Yes, it's kind of a German thing to have lots of different teas. I have five different types of winter tea. In total I probably have 20-25 different types of tea at home. Most of them are herbal teas.

While cold ale and beer are refreshing, it kinda kills the flavor (same reason you dont Drink Red wine chilled), however that might be a good thing for American light beers to make them drinkable

Not warm, "CELLAR TEMPERATURE" for ales 11 degrees centigrade (52°F) . America beers taste nothing like German Lagers as you have rubbish like rice in much of your beer and German beer doesn't, it's forbidden and they are usually pretty good. American beer is normally seved ice cold so you can't taste how bad it is! I have a group of German friends that come over to the UK regularly to drink the ale at Beer festivals etc......

Since I was in Ireland a few years ago and tried the Irish breakfast tea with milk, I drink it everyday. I order it online because it's not easy to find here in Germany. I love to sweeten it with honey. It's the best! 😋

The 75 cent beer is a expensive brand. You can buy a plastic bottle of beer at aldi for 19 cent. But only alcoholics and teenagers drink that :D

I've around 5 types of tea and 2 different black tea. Mostly, I drink only black tea. And I put milk into my tea! And I'm German!

It’s not served warm, I think it’s about 5C. Lagers and pilsners etc need to be chilled in a fridge but real ale is cool but not chilled. There are probably some British or Irish pubs near you that may serve real ale so you should go visit one and try it.

England is so COLD one doesn't need a refrigerator, South Africans don't touch a beer that is not refrigerated ccccold, you drink it fast, if your wife complains you tell it must be in before it reaches room temperature, and the next one must also be ccccold!!!!
