I was trying to explain this to some Yanks on reddit the other day who were boasting about being able to understand "the" Scottish and Irish accent (as if there is only one of each). There are loads of different scot, Irish and English accents. Some easy to understand, some almost impossible, even for other people who live in the same country. We have nearly 50 official different accents in the UK, half the time we can't even understand each other. And it only takes an hour or so in the car and it's changed 3 times. Not only the accents, but also words and phrases that are unique to that specific area. I'm cumbrian and we still use a load of old cumbrian words that aren't spoken anywhere else. I'm 33 and I'm still learning now that a lot of words I use are cumbrian and aren't part of general English. I've been told by Southerners on multiple occasions, that I sound Geordie, scouse and Scottish.... Which is just bizarre because none of those accents sound even remotely similar. So when people come to the UK, it must be like we're all talking in fucking riddles 🤣 You can see this quite a lot in boomers reactions actually, there are times when he completely misses a joke because he doesn't know what certain words mean. He's learning quite fast though considering the amount of them.

This Haye V Fury fight didn't happen as Haye got Injured and had to have major shoulder surgery and a big cut. Haye won the heavyweight title by beating the 7 foot giant Nikolai Valuev. It was biggest weight difference in heavyweight history. They called in David Vs Goliath.

Apart from his size - the difference between Fury and others is that he is a master boxer with a fighter's mentality. Rarely do you get both in one fighter, but Tyson has that. I always thought that David Hate was very underrated - perhaps too small to worry the big super heavyweights, but a very skilful boxer with a big punch.

Haye was unified Cruiserweight champ and WBA Heavyweight champ, fight got cancelled because he pulled out due to a severe cut in sparring, fight was never made again. Wladimir Klitschko was the recognised HW champ of the world for 10 years, Fury beat him in one of the most boring fights in HW history. Fury pulled out of the rematch citing mental health, you can see how far that fight went before it was called off as the batman outfit was a press conference before it. Previous to the first bout, Fury had failed a drug test, him and his team basing it on 'Wild Boar meat'. Wilder cherry picked Fury, thinking he was shot and finished. It ended up being the only fighter in Wilders career who actually fought back and Fury showed his class (and Wilders lack of) destroying him in the next 2 fights. He won the first fight on the cards according to most boxing fans and experts.
