If you need to add some extra flavour to gravies, casseroles, stews or mince meat; just add some vegemite, it's as great as a pick me up soup in a cup(a heaped teaspoon of vegemite dissolved in 250ml/1 cup of boiling water).

As an Australian I can tell you the key to eating vegemite and enjoying it is to lightly spread it on top of toast, with or without butter.

vegemite is great with cheese! My grandmother and grandfather who are English mix it with kraft cream cheese on toast. My mother eats it with advocado on toast. I'm a thick vegemite fan but you need decent amount of butter as well.

I'm an Aussie and one of the few who do not like vegemite at all. Now, about the milo. You kinda got it wrong. It's two spoons for the drink and a spoon straight into the mouth. But don't sneeze just as you put it into your mouth or there will be a Milo cloud. *lol* You have to try the Tim Tam Slam. Bite the opposite corners off and suck your favourite drink through the Tim Tam. Coffee or any liqueur will do the trick. A Bundy Rum Liqueur is great but problem is it is only available at the Bundy Distillery in Bundaberg Glsd you enjoyed.

Vegemite spread thinly on buttered toast, slice of cheese on top, pop under the oven griller for a minute to melt the cheese....... yum! One of my favourite go-to snacks.

What everyone forgets about the vegimite is that it's full of B vitamins like Berroca's, those fizzy tablet things that people use for hangovers. It gives you a lift.

The Tim Tams in the US are made in OZ. You can use Hot Milo to do a Tim Tam slam. Look it up lol. The US uses a lot of HFCS(corn Syrup) instead of sugar. That is why Aussie candy tastes different.HFCS is pretty much a chemical concoction(bad)lol. Good video girls

That's the trouble with Aussie chocolate is it blooms (white colour) easily from hot weather. Vegemite has ten different B vitamins in it, so it can be an easy source of B vitamins, some of which are to come by.

Love vegemite! I have my Australian friends replenish my stock when they visit me in California Yeah, the Tim Tams in the US doesn’t quite hit the spot compared to the Australian version. Not sure why. Most Australian snacks and food in general don’t have all those hard to pronounce additives you find in American foods. It’s why they generally taste better. Great video! Thanks!

Nice review Laura I was a bit surprised that your friends acyually liked all of the snacks especially Vegemite. Those Freddos looked terrible chocolate usually isnt good after being exposed to heat like that. I dont eat many sweet snacks as I prefer savoury. things although I dont mind that Darell Lea red licorice. I have never really been a Milo person because I cant drink cows milk it makes me feel unwell (lactose intolerant) but my wife and kids have always loved it. Glad to see you have settled in back at home I hope that 2024 brings you all the things you are looking for.
