Okay but she actually did wildly good. To recontextualize, her FIRST TIME ever driving a manual car, her best lap was only just over half as slow as the BEST LAP a four time WORLD CHAMPION. And that's not saying anything about how differently other aspects of an F4 car are from a standard car, the speed difference between an F4 car and an F1 car, Max's deep knowledge of his team's home track, the physical training he's done for years that she only got for one afternoon, OR that he's been auto/kart racing LITERALLY since age four. She did INCREDIBLY well.

That speech at the end about Max is so true for him. He races for the fun of driving, not for the attention, the fame, or the riches. He races because he LOVES racing. This man stayed up till 4 AM doing sim-racing, right before an actual Grand Prix!!! You'd be incredibly hard-pressed to find a driver who has Max's love and care for driving. The media always shows him as the "villain" of F1, but he really isn't. He's the best driver in the sport, even without the best car, and he just loves to drive.

The gearbox in a F4 car, is a six speed sequential paddle shift. So it has very little to do with driving a manual. You only use the clutch, when starting and stopping the car.
@Voljinable3 күн бұрын
@@akyhne Disclaimer: i cant actually drive, i only do simracing with shifters and with clutch and stickshift. Correctly using the shifters takes some practise to get used to. Maybe 10 to 20 laps before you can confidently shift, know which shift you;re on, how to downshift quickly and which is the right gear to be on. Its easy but you want to not think about it so you can give the racing, steering and breaking all your attention. It needs some time before it gets to that point though.
@akyhne3 күн бұрын
@Voljinable I don't know how old I was, when I did Sim racing the first time. Maybe late 20s. I had no issue adapting to paddle shift, you just listen to the engine, like you also do, when driving a stick. It didn't take a lap to adapt. But I guess it's harder, when you have only ever driven with automatic. And just a FYI for you. She wasn't going any faster, than you could do in any normal +120 hp car.

She killed it for sure and during the fight she looked like a boxer with her foot work and movement, her punching needed some more work but overall she did win the fight out right. Even though Andrea had another fight before her training was a bit sub par. I would love to see her box one more time to see how much she kept in her tool box now.

OH MY DAYS. I just got into F1 recently and a couple of days ago I was literally thinking about Michelle doing F1. I LITERALLY CALLED IT.

The title should be "trying Formula 4"
@cassyschraft62683 күн бұрын
But "Trying F4" isn't going to get the same amount of clicks as "Trying F1." Its definitely a clickbait-y title

Thank you very much for mentioning Cleo Abram's "Formula 1 cars, explained for rookies (with Max Verstappen)" video. That was very kind of you👍👍👍

Michelle!! I'd love to see you try horse riding and try to compete at an event/show at the end of a couple of weeks? I think that could be really interesting to see you bond with the horses

You are kind of living my dream life, and it's really nice to see that you are able to experience so many things in just one life span; That's literally my dream life. I really love your videos a lot btw.

i've watched all your video's of challenge accepted. but i'd never expect this. oh, my gosh... and as a person from the netherlands, i think it is safe to say, that you've met the greatest f1 driver and was a passanger of the best f1 team! this is a experience a lot of people would love to have in their life! i'ts also really "weird" for europeans to see that someone has to learn how to use a manuall, since in most Europe countries it is normal with driving lessions to learn how to drive in a manual car. overall, you did really good and it was really fun to watch, in my opinion

Michelle shouldn’t be counted as a civilian, she should be counted as a legend or a “mile-long resume master”

if there's a mobilisation or war, she should be considered "overserved" and not be drafted

Hi Michelle can you please make a video about trying to master horsebackriding? A lot of people often say it's not a sport and it's very easy, but it would be really cool if you would show to the people that it's actually more than just sitting on a horses back.

I love that Max had that outlook. I know he is harder on himself, but hearing him put it into to perspective that way shows how good a person he is. Even with the upbringing he had. He is going to be a great dad!!

Great stuff Michelle. Racing is very difficult. I'm glad you were able to capture a small piece of this. It would be interesting to see what you could do if you dedicated some time to it. ...... Could be a great journey to document. 👍🏻
