You have to push harder on them, Caribbean people. They don't make the connection that they are also the descendants of slaves, and they also don't identify with the African nations of their ancestors. They think saying their Jamaican is a better answer than us saying were are American and it makes no sense.

Isn’t Jamaican a nationality though? Because if one of his parents are from Jamaica and he was born in England, then it would just make him english. Because blk Jamaicans are dna sub-saharan africans that shipped to the tropics of Jamaica during the sIave trade. So that would make him english born african.

They just don’t see the logic - they have no clue! The Americans and other Caribbeans were taken in the same ships to the ‘Americas’ but some were dropped off first. They have very similar history. Their ancestors were all enslaved - some in America - some in Jamaica etc. Now the ones in America are Americans, Jamaicans in Jamaica etc. In the same way that the Americans don’t know where they came from 500 years ago, nor do most other Caribbeans, unless they do a DNA test!

Most black Americans say they are aborigines to the Americas when majority of Africans claim to be Aborigines to the planet so I too claimed the whole pie While others like yourself only claim one eighth of the pie since Africans were the first civilization on the planet. Genesis chapter 2 verses 10 through 15 read the Bible the oldest pyramids on the planet is found in Sudan Africa but it was taught to many black Americans that the oldest pyramids is in Egypt. The oldest university on the planet is found in Timbuktu Africa where is the oldest university in the United States? A lot of people don't see the US as a 'real' place, but more like a business or docking station. Jamaica is really not in North America when you count in that Jamaica was counted as being in North America because the same people that took control of America took control of Jamaica and said it was in North America but when North America/The United States had our independence from England the island of Jamaica went with England because before the English conquered North America and what is now called The United States those islands were just considered to be part of the western hemisphere. It was never considered to be apart of America! England claimed it to control the water ways for trade routes! This is why the wet foot dry foot policy was created in key west and in Miami and all of Florida and the Cubans were able to reach the old bridge and they would be counted as being in North America so when they stopped that policy they tore the bridge down from the land of North America so it wouldn't be counted as North America anymore because it wasn't connected! Jamaica is not connected to us by land nor bridge which makes it not apart of North America but it still is counted as being apart of North America in the old English Books here in America but it was a England controlled island and its now an INDEPENDENT COUNTRY ALL ON ITS OWN! TECHNICALLY!!!!

The British slave owners literally left them the island so they identify with it more since they own it. Whereas in America was founded by colonists who constantly encouraged immigration. So the running mode of thinking is if you are a person of color in a European country then you have to be from somewhere else. They view America as a European country. Therefore, they want to view us like them as immigrants from outside of the European country. Even though we never immigrated and we were here before the country existed.

They are rioting in Northern Ireland. A white British woman just stated on the news, she understands how the Indians felt in America when the white man came running them out of their country. She states, as a white British woman, white Brits are being pushed out of the UK due to illegal immigrants and non whites entering the United Kingdom. Everybody and anybody who looks the part can be African American or "black" in this country, even through AA is a bit more of an ethnically distinct term. That's why all of these acronyms became popular over the years, to address the ambiguity caused by poor terminology.
