I was reading about what the workers wanted from the new contract. The contract ends on Sept 30th, 2024. **They want a 77% increase over a 6 year period. Calculated at $5.00 per hour per year over the 6 years. They stated they have not had a raise since before the pandemic. **No more automation replacing good workers. **Asking for a percentage of the container royalties the ocean carriers are receiving. They feel they should receive a certain % since they are the ones that do the offloading of the containers from the ocean barrages. We definitely will be in a world of hurt in a couple of weeks after the strike. Pray it does not happen.
