My favorite modification: I modified a 2008 Mazda CX9 into a 2020 RAM 1500 Bighorn in Granite Crystal. The mods set me back a little so I'll have to wait a little to lift, exhaust etc... but it was well with the time and money I've put into the project so far.

A note to all those people about to get a front-end leveling kit installed. You need to get your headlights adjusted too when you mess with the front end height and rake/angle of the truck.

Bigger tread does very little to give you better "grip" on sand. In fact, highway tires, partially deflated, are better on sand than AT tires. I've lived on padre island for 40 years. Trust me on this. Highway tires deflated to 15psi is going to get through soft sand better than anything.

@@zacharyvanoostenrijk93 the brand I bought is called sealight. All I had to do was swap it the lightbulb. It had a pack in-line pack which I assume is a resistor that keeps it from popping up an error message that the bulb is burned out

@@zacharyvanoostenrijk93 I started with the headlights as they are the most impactful. I tried swapping out the reverse lights but got an error code so went back to halogen for those. I will eventually buy full led taillight assemblies but for now I’m happy with the enhanced headlights

I have Falken Wildpeak A/T 4’s on my factory rims, 285/55/R22. They are 34.7” and fit perfectly with a 2” levelling kit.

I just got a gently used 2022 Ram, bright blue with black rims and factory step bars as my daily driver. My first five mods were more in the budget range. WeatherTech floor liners and mud flaps, AVS Side Window Vent Shades, seat covers, and a soft tonneau cover off Amazon that looks and works great, but I do really like the hard cover you have in the video. Total price for all, about $600.

The 285/55/20 is virtually the same size as the stock Night Edition tire, which is 285/45/22. They're not 33" tires, but 32.1" for stock Night Edition and 32.3" for your mod. You DON"T need any after market lift for these size tires.

I did the Hard Tonneau and some Nef rails. I also got a Bedrug floor liner. I love mine. Some people have asked me if I sleep back there because it makes everything so comfortable back there. I can easily clean it with a power washer. Can't wait to get my exhaust and wheels/tires.

I got the N-Fab polished stainless steel nerf/step bar on my 2016 1500. It also has the 3rd step for the bed. Looks great on my Ram since the bumpers, wheel, and most of the trim is crome instead of black.

Woo hoo, I got the levelling kit and the 33” tires, but with Mickey Thompson rims. I also have the step bar and tonneau cover. I like the suggestion of that muffler thingy for my Ram. Guys have been asking if I have been borrowing my bf’s truck 😂 thanks!

One thing to remember, hard cover tonneau covers are really nice for protection reasons but The dealer I got my ram from said he’s had multiple issues with water going in between the cover and then the ice freezes and buckles the panels. (They are made of sheet metal on top styrofoam middle and sheet metal bottom) he said he’s had 3 returns this winter alone.

Ive always used a 1 piece fiberglass cover.. water goes nowhere but right off the truck, and its not easily broken into. It has no moving parts but itself

Pretty close to what I did. 2.5 leveling spacers (Amazon $65)giving me a no rub on 34x11.5 open country at3's on factory wheels. Flowmaster outlaw direct replacement muffler, exceed bed cover by extang, and ironcross steps. The finish is coming off the steps, very disappointed. Planning to remove all the finish this spring and have them coated with linex.

I have factory step bars and don't use them because I don't want to get em dirty and scratch em up, but my own ooompa loompa uses them to full capacity on the passenger side, and I follow behind with a wet paper towel when she's not looking.

For the price point of the BAK, I'll have to spend a little more to get the 💎 BackHD cover. If you go with their SE option it's still better than BAK. Made in the USA you have a weight compacity of 400 lbs, and 1600 for the HD. The leveling KIT, well as a Ram owner I have go with AEVs 4inch lift, or you can go OEM with Mopar's 2 inch lift. If you need to save a little more cash go with Rancho's adjustable 2 inch struts for about 240 bucks. You get what you pay for. So if you're rig is for the Streets you could get away with the RC $50 dollar option. The side steps, I like these, but I'll have to go with ADD as my first choice.

BAK mentioned here is about 800 dollars, top of the line BAK ( not the one mentioned here) is about DB SE level-ish. ... diamondback HD is $2000 ,.... SE - $1400 and DB 180 is $1900.... so your spending at a minimum 50% to double this bak cover cost..... not sure how you define a little more... agree with leveling kit, rather go lift as well. Side steps no real favorite I'm 6'6" so doesnt matter. But went Barricade HD for the little woman to get in, and the sit tight to truck and are tough as hell.

The black rims and side steps don't go at all with the chrome bumpers, grill, and badges. Stay with the chrome rims (as seen on the passenger side), and go chrome steps, or continue with the black(out) look and change out the bumpers, grill and badges to all black too.

I disagree, but I see where you're coming from. There's enough black accent on the chrome bumper, with the fog light frames and the lower plastic/rubber "sweeper" on there, that I didn't even notice the contrast until you mentioned it. If a guy has a lot of money to toss around, I'd say yeah, change to an all black setup and it would look mean as hell, but as it was in the video, that truck looks plenty good to me. This is one of those thing where if you ask a hundred people, you'll get a hundred different opinions. Just my two cents.

without fender flares, the first dirt road you hit will dent the living hell out of those folded, unprotected metal edges in the wheel wells. 2 years later, it rusts, and looks like a bag of crap. 3m vinyl tape the interior folds of your wheel wells, or get some flares to cover the metal.

@@jaredwertenberger1720 I found that the 2022 came with a nice adapter plate for spacers that does not let the rubber boot move or press up into the spacer. Which is the same as running the top of the strut tower to the factory mounts. Go ram. That bieng said I went with only a 2” front spacer kit that way I’m not having to mess with my geometry to much to where it’s throwing everything out of wack. Professional alignment and she’s been sitting pretty ever since!

Not true. Even with the 4 corner air suspension you still have about 2 inches of rake. However i am pretty sure a leveling kit will mess with the air suspension. I have yet to see anyone put a leveling kit on one.

If you have a 6.4 bed don't buy this flush mount cover it's absolutely garbage it comes with 4 panels that folds and has only 3 lock on panels which you lift the second panel from back easily you can open it up if you have tools this is not safe at all and the other problem is its not water proof this is absolutely waste of money do not buy this garbage cover from mopar
