@@santoshr4212 even more difficult thing is to get h1b visa. It took me 3 years to get a visa. I did not get selected I lottery for two years. I just don't want anyone to miss an opportunity if it comes.

No you cannot switch because you come America with your company given visa . American government give working visa for you under your company. You not able to switch to other if you come your own vis means you switch

Another big difference is this: In Indian based corporates, if the onsite project comes to an end or undergoes ramp down, these companies will have a lot of other clients in USA and you will have options to switch to different client after your current project gets over. I agree they give only 2 weeks bench time for this, but there is a scope of project. But in consultancies, if an onsite project tenure is over or if a project ramps down or if the clients are downsizing the team, you may lose the project and your consultancy won't have as many project in reserve as in indian corporates so you are on your own to get into your next project. This way Indian corporate is better as they help you with any other client projects. But on the flip side, the biggest problem with indian corporate in the same scenario is that, these companies wont allow you more than 2 weeksto stay in USA if you don't have a project assignment. You'll be sent back home. Whereas, the consultancies will still keep you in their payroll even if you dont have billable project but you won't be sent back as you're still in the company's payroll. While you dont have projects, these consultancies don't pay you, on the other hand you have to pay them money for paying taxes on behalf of you.

Choice is based on your skill level and comfy.
