@@jobuck879 that’s because Amarie and her fiancé came up with that sound and used it on her debut album in 01-02 and then he, Harrison, produced Crazy In Love in 03 with the same sound. @@imjesssayin1706 No that’s a lie, Beyoncé started her solo album in 02, and worked with that producer. Amerie didn’t start with that sound until 2004. Your time line is off. Amerie is a treasure. I HATE how the industry did her because she is a wonderful writer, vocalist and performer. She has the BEST harmonies ever. Her harmonies are so melodic and beautiful. She has an album called Because I Love It, that unfortunately was never released in the US. I remember that I waited for over a year or so, to find that album and it is AMAZING!!!!! She deserved to be a bigger star than she was allowed to be. It'd really a shame. I have been a HGE fan of hers since her first single Why Don't We Fall in Love. To this day, years later, I still listen to her music. She has a book club channel here on YT that I follow as well. Shawnty, you should definitely check out more of her music. Amerie was my girl! I still listen to her music now, this song and Why Don't We Fall In Love are my favorites from her! She also has another one called Talkin To Me which is good too. In my opinion Beyonce really took from her, she came not long after Aaliyah's passing so in a sense I felt like she really didn't get to shine as much as she could have because she was kind of put in baby girl's shadow. But she's dope

Yasss!!! One of my favorites by her. It’s actually A-Ma-Ree. This song was on the “Hitch” soundtrack. So this was the Go-Go sound she was big on that other artist used as well but of course theirs was pushed harder. J-Lo’s song I believe is “Get Right” used the same beat. Try A-Ma-Ree’s other one “Why Don’t We Fall in Love”. 2 Chains sampled it with Ariana Grande. Oh and “Talking To Me” is a whole vibe”. Thanks for reacting to this.

It was the same producer that did Get Right, that's why the beats sound similar. When it came out I thought I was trippin cuz I was like this sounds like that Amerie beat🤔 I had to look it up and they came out so close together. Not to make this too long but it's politics. Look at Keri Hilson. No matter how popular her songs are and how many ppl she writes for, she's blocked.

I saw in a documentary one time that her record label treated her like crap after this track, because though the producer produced it for her, the label wanted the song to go to J-Lo (Jennifer Lopez) who was already a huge star at the time. But the she and her producer took Amarie's recording to all the radio stations and made sure the public heard her version. Of course it was a smash hit and the public loved Amerie just on this one track. But the record label was sore about it, and they ceased promoting Amarie like they did their others artists, and it hurt her career. Messed up, right?

Yes young grasshopper, this song by Amerie was a jam! The percussion arrangement in this song is the Go-Go style. She debuted during the same time as Rihanna but she didn't ascend to the heights like Rihanna. This is a shame because she can really perform as easily as Beyonce. There is a song that you should react to by Amerie "Why don't we fall in love". It was a summer jam back in the day.

One of my favorite ❤ She is soooo under rated😢 I bought All her music back in the day. There is definitely controversy out there saying Beyonce stole her sound and style. Which I can definitely agree on...You should react to " Why don't we fall in love" by her. All the songs on her CDs are really good. For some reason they didn't show Aamarie much luv💘 in the United States 🇺🇲 I don't know why. I think it was because they were trying to push Beyonce back then. I remember going to London in my early 20s around the time when "1 thing" came out and this song is all you would hear in the club, at the malls, restaurants etc, they loved her over there. Such a talented artist that got pushed to the side, for no reason😔
