Yasss!!! One of my favorites by her. It’s actually A-Ma-Ree. This song was on the “Hitch” soundtrack. So this was the Go-Go sound she was big on that other artist used as well but of course theirs was pushed harder. J-Lo’s song I believe is “Get Right” used the same beat. Try A-Ma-Ree’s other one “Why Don’t We Fall in Love”. 2 Chains sampled it with Ariana Grande. Oh and “Talking To Me” is a whole vibe”. Thanks for reacting to this.

Amerie is a treasure. I HATE how the industry did her because she is a wonderful writer, vocalist and performer. She has the BEST harmonies ever. Her harmonies are so melodic and beautiful. She has an album called Because I Love It, that unfortunately was never released in the US. I remember that I waited for over a year or so, to find that album and it is AMAZING!!!!! She deserved to be a bigger star than she was allowed to be. It'd really a shame. I have been a HGE fan of hers since her first single Why Don't We Fall in Love. To this day, years later, I still listen to her music. She has a book club channel here on YT that I follow as well. Shawnty, you should definitely check out more of her music. I saw in a documentary one time that her record label treated her like crap after this track, because though the producer produced it for her, the label wanted the song to go to J-Lo (Jennifer Lopez) who was already a huge star at the time. But the she and her producer took Amarie's recording to all the radio stations and made sure the public heard her version. Of course it was a smash hit and the public loved Amerie just on this one track. But the record label was sore about it, and they ceased promoting Amarie like they did their others artists, and it hurt her career. Messed up, right?
