Psalms 49:11 Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

haha, sadly thats wrong, vespucci thought, America was connectet to the other continents, he even said this in his book "mundus novus"

Muslim already discovered America, but Muslim never conquest the new continent that they found, they just trade with with them, and Muslim already made the complete map of the world, because the stronger of Islamic empire in the Eastern Europe and North Africa, Spain and Portugal expand their empire in American continent.

no, america is not named after vespucci, you don't call a country after your first name, otherwise there would be lots of Sidlands and Bertlands. You wouldn't name it after yourself anyway, you would name it after your king or patron. Even if he had dared call it after himself (an act of lese majestie, almost an act of war) he would have called it after his family name and you would all be living in the United States of Vespuccia. One of the other major explorers, especially in the north, was John Cabot, whose patron was the mayor of Bristol in England, and his name was Richard A Mericke, which is where the name comes from

Kelvin Kersey well even the library of the united states of america congress claims that the name came from vespucci's name
@Mo-mn7kc4 жыл бұрын
Kelvin Kersey of course it’s named after Amérigo Vespucci. Your theory is pointless

England wasn't in the game at that point

John Cabot was Italian. On both principles of your statement you failed. Go and cry on a shoulder of your limey brother in a limey pub.

Vespucci had nothing to do with naming the continent.
