I love it when someone does something they like, and then do the effort of sharing it with the world, for other people to be inspired by it. Thanks for a work well done :)

I’ve painted several of these, based on her video here. The best ones come out in the colors she uses here. I’ve tried reds and yellows and even grays, but the blue green brown white is gorgeous.

Amy Pearce, You did an outstanding job. You're very talented and I wanted to thank you for sharing your abilities and showing us how to paint, how to do the background, and in your other videos, how to blend to make light hitting the subject and painting beautiful paintings. I can't express enough how much I appreciate you taking the time to share and even with your hands so full already with your beautiful baby. Don't know that I could do that but you did it and did it so well. Thank you, Thank you, Thankyou, PS: Please don't let these jealous people get you down with something as trivial as a smoke alarm. I'm sure that it's something that is hard to get turned off or you'd have gotten to it. We've all gone through it at one time or another. Just the fact that you can share your talents with us is super amazing. You did a really great job.Okay? I mean it; some day you'll see that other people just get rude at such stupid things just to make themselves feel better when they, in fact, will be having so much more going on in their own environment that they can't fathum how to deal with it. That's just my opinion. Hugs and keep up the great work, Please.

Ok tried with acrylics and water it is certainly a beginners task. It came out well. I do recommend getting a big sponge like the one she has in the video. I used regular dish washing sponges and fared well. Mine didn't come out as good as hers but it was certainly a learning experience.

Thanks for sharing this technique Amy. I used sort of the same colours then when background was dry, I painted almost black rocks around the bottom edge, some small reef fish again in black for silhouette and then a reef shark in the centre of the painting against the central light colour. Looks good and all from you sharing, thanks 👍

Hi Amy, love your paintings. You are very talented! I enjoy watching your vids as a lot of other people do too. I understand that you are busy but couldn't you find the time to answer any of our questions cuz that would be a nice thing to do. You obviously have a lot of fans and we love your art work but it kinda feels like you don't really care about the people WHO are INTERESTED in learning how to paint since you don't answer any of their questions. But keep doing what your doing, you are amazing at what you do :) just make some time to answer your fans.

IDK about with oil paint, but with Acrylic you can use "Thalo" green(which is really cheating but eh, it's even more turquoise than that painting up there) black and white. the brown green and blue are fine too but there's something to be said about the artificial pop of a good thalo green :)
@bretttoombs2465

Would you apply the colors to the canvas in the same fashion as the video? Black around the edges...then Thalo green, then white in the middle?
