Forget all the lift and just go with the stainless lines. Stainless braided lines are terrific and an actual investment in your safety as far as I'm concerned. At least it makes me feel better lol. My wife and I both own a first gen 9-3, I have stainless lines and she doesn't, my brake pedal feels rock solid, hers is a bit mush.

That's a lot of work just for bigger tires. Reminds me of my 1985 K10 with 36" tires that I used to have. I still miss that truck.

harry walker what would you recommend? just bought a 96 f250 2wd, im going to do the 4 wheel conversion but not till next winter, i need a 3-4 inch lift to ckear the 22x14s, i know nothing about twin i beams, ive always owned 4x4 trucks, this one was just to clean not to pick up
@phantomwalker82516 жыл бұрын
so long as your doing this & not pulling chains,id ditch the chassis,if the body is that good,,chassis i think are non transferable,4x4 is different to 2wd.,stay away from ttb. here in aus,we dont have the outlets you do,i make most my own parts.

maybe you have knowledge, but Im running into a issue with 1996Bronco, i have the 6in rough country lift kit installed, and after 6 or so months later, I now have death wobble, idk what to do I have brand new TRE assemble, everything else seems to be fine. I was told to try a heavy duty steering damper (Dual setup) would you have any pointers I could go over my rig?
@AmesiesCorner9 жыл бұрын
+Sal Gonzalez I strongly recommend a heavy duty steering stabilizer setup for sure on a 6 inch lift. I assume all the basics like tire pressure, loose components etc. have been checked. You could try adding a half turn of toe in to help add some tension to the center link you might find a sweet spot. Or go to an alignment shop if your unsure on what adjusting toe is. Good luck!
@salgonzalez9089 жыл бұрын
+Amesie's Automotive Corner the culprit..... was the passenger side drop bracket had bent bolts, I put 4 new bolts and welded that bitch shutttt. put a flat-line on the deathwobble :)
@Kitten436978 жыл бұрын
ypu dont need extended brake lines and drop brackets for a 2 inch lift, that must be a complete 4 inch
@chrisgrubisa38193 жыл бұрын
You do for a 2" lift.... no matter what anybody says I've been thro this. Anytime you fuxk the original geometry of these tib and ttb front ends you have to compensate every other point. Can't just put taller springs or spring blocks on. The manufacturers say you don't need extra parts to keep vehicle in spec but that's a lie. Why do you think a full 2" lift kit comes with drop brackets and pitman arm and brake lines? .... cuz it needs all those things lol.... I trusted the manufacturer and every vid or comment saying no problem....but my 2" taller springs turned into a lengthy search to find 2" drop brackets for the ttb and radius arms and pitman arm. There's no easy lift for these front end systems. Can be done but every thing needs to be done right and with understanding of why.
@clintbowman95706 жыл бұрын
I'm installing new drop axle pivot brackets on my F-250 and I can't get the new bolts in the top of the rear bracket. It's really tight between the cross member and the oil pan. I can't even get the old bolts out (actually one is missing so there's only 1 bolt still in there). How did you get your new bolts in with such a tight space? Thanks.
@mrj248118 жыл бұрын
Would be nice to watch you installing the lift not fastforwarding. Cut out stuff like pulling the tires an normal mantenance but show the actual instal would be awsome. All these shows leave out the parts that actually show people how to do the job, this is why most of us watch so we can learn. I felt like I wasted my time watching your video because I thought you were going to show us how to lift a truck then when you got to it you just fastforwarded it lol . If you did this I would subscribe.....Maybe mount the camrah a little lower. Ill give you a thumbs up because it was a great video other than the position of the camra an fastforwarding it was great.

yea right energy, buy a kit and install it..these are pretty straight forward. i made my lift kit in my own shop lol
@mrj248118 жыл бұрын
Amesie's Automotive Corner Understandable for that I will give you a thumbs up and subscribe, but ya in the future the detail is what alot of ppl jump on youtube although some get alot of views from just entertainment I still think about the important stuff they dont show an its always upseting, then again if everyone gives away secrets it will put alot of ppl out of a job, but it is going to happen regardless might as well be the one to do it. Sounds like a plan overt enemy, but I would still struggle, mainly with front suspension, starting to understand reader all you have to do is block it, but also the adjustments you would have to make for drive shaft, sway bars in such. Just have to do it right will not learn until I buy a kit and try to install it right? I always try to figure everything out from the pros end up spending more time needed if I just went for it and figured it out I would probably learn quicker. That is for sure some stuff I would like to see step by step front suspension lift and minor adjustments to make up for height id say be the my main focus. Would love to get into custom lifts for folks if I could figure it all out.
