A credit card with 0% cash back is crazy. Even people with the worst credit can get a secured card at their credit union with 1%

Guess is that SoFi became a popular bank with the youngsters so they'll cash in on their name vs offering rewards. Capital One to your point would be a better choice

Online comments (whatever that is worth) point to a NY law that requires ALL auto policies to cover rental cars, so Chase is taking advantage and claiming secondary coverage. There is no requirement that banks make the renter go through their own policy first, so USBAR, VX, etc can still offer primary if they want to NY residents even if they are covered by their own policy

Ah, that makes sense. I would agree it's chase and not the provider of the CDW. If it was, we'd see it on the other infinite cards. Since it's a payment network benefit. Thanks for sharing.

Sapphire insurance is an interesting change - wonder if it will change any chase opinions. I'll stick with my USBAR.

If USB or Capital One Infinite cards keep the CDW, in the state of NY I think it'll change opinion.s Primary CDW is the one thing that still makes Sapphire somewhat relevant...even then, more so on the CSP give the price

Accor is a French hotel chain (not an airline) and its brands are pretty big in Europe (certainly France) and the rest of the world. The most famous brands are. Mercure, Sofitel and Ibis, I think only Fairmont is pretty known in North America.

@@RJFinancialAll Accor transfer rates are odd. Don't try to order a quarter pounder with cheese there.

Another reason I am glad I don't live in NY. Interesting report. Glad you pointed that out for those who live in NY and have that card so they are forearmed with that knowledge. The DFW CL has a SPA with 3 Massage Chairs and a manicure station. I am sure they could fit another 20 people in that same square footage if they opened it tall up. I am sure it is similar in all the other CL they are changing. Personally I would prefer they see if there is other room to expand but if not then yes more chairs for all is preferred to taking up that much space for the few temporary needs. Maybe put in special massage chairs in the areas for the Centurion Card members. Those areas never seem to be full.

Spa probably not that popular. They coulda added the Be Relax Spa portion of Priority pass to make up for it for those who did care.

JAL partners with American as part of their OneWorld alliance. I used to fly them before United started direct flights from USA to Manila. They constantly wanted me to take their card, however I never did. I just booked thru AA using AA points.

Seems the right move. How they use to have FAs selling cards during take off and landing

I can only guess that very few people were actually using the spa if it was actually being used at all.

I think the reasons why the JAL card is horrible is because Japan doesn't know or care to do credit cards well. They're not big on credit in general and if they do get credit they do it in the most Japanese way possible.

Fair point. Outside of the States cards aren’t nearly as big or profitable

I'd agree. Not much attention on those Be Relax spa credits Priority Pass was offering on some cards as well
