Thanks Adrian for answering my Q about acclimatizing and beet extract. My last 7 day backpacking trip was pretty dreadful. Even with the Diamox, camping at elevation, drinking lots of fluids, beet extract, electrolytes, I was pretty miserable the entire trip. I get very nauseous and have an impossible eating and keeping up with the calories for backpacking for 7 hours a day..makes me so sad that my high (for me) treks might coming to an end. (John Muir Trail, eastern sierra)

I’d imagine that there would be a lot of sex going on between climbers . Stuck in camps for weeks at a time…. 🤷‍♂️ kinda always wanted to hear this discussed….actually hearing about the general, social dynamics of being in camp would be interesting as well
