Carl, I do like you, however, you are wrong to say that Amir Khan has not achieved much because he was an Olympic Silver Medalist at age 17. Plus he was a unified light-welterweight world champion, having held the WBA (later Super) title from 2009 to 2012, and the IBF title in 2011. He used Carl's nose as evidence that Rob doesn't teach defence... When Carl (rightly) stood up for Rob and pointed out he led AJ to olympic gold medal and world titles, Carl was labelled an AJ hater. This was made worse when AJ lost a second time to Usyk and came back with some subpar performances leading people to ask "is AJ done?". The question at the time was valid, however it seems like AJ is back on the path to a world title and he's taking that personally. His recent beef with Carl stems from that. As a result, Khan recently went in on Carl as a "hater". Why does sticking up for the coach that gave AJ all his success and criticising a few bad performances make you a hater?

Funny thing is in terms of wins, Khan and Froch beat a similar level of opponent - decent world level opposition but neither beat elite guys. Amir simply had no chin nor really top level power to keep guys away. He had poor fight IQ (in keeping with his low IQ in general as nicely pointed out by Froch). Relied heavily on hand and foot speed and decent amateur fundamentals, the 1/2 and his long punches. Tactically lacking. Repetitive combinations one after the other that became easy for a top class fighter to read and time. In fairness Khan hit number 1 in his division after unifying against Zab Judah. Froch was never number 1 as he lost to Kessler and then Ward. Khan had way more talent than Froch but Carl had a better chin though some context needed. Froch never really fought murderous punchers. Had he fought someone like GGG, I'm sure he would have been ironed out. Groves had him down and wobbling all over the place only to be saved by the bell. Taylor heavily knocked him down and he was a light punching middleweight. So a good chin only works to a certain extent. Don't want to be overly critical on either. Both flawed but definitely great British fighters. The back and forth quite childish but definitely amusing. Good stuff from Froch, cracking lines.

Bute was chinny and not great, Johnson was 40+, Abraham was old and above his natural rate, Dirrell was a dodgy decision, so that leaves Pascal and Taylor. Taylor was a middleweight champion and quite chinny. I'd go with Pascal or Groves. Groves was cheated out of a win but Froch won the 2nd conclusively.

Ok look khan should’ve fought Brook earlier. But the man was a unified champ beating top tier opponents at 135. He beat Lamont Peterson. That was some real bs. The judges, ref and Peterson all were corrupt as hell. Yes close but Peterson failed a drug test and there was serious violations with the judging. Khan outright beat top tier opponents. Alexander, collazo, kotelnik, paulie etc. he actually went and based himself in America and went into people’s backyards unlike Froch who was scared of going to Oakland to fight Ward when all of his fights were in Nottingham where all the judges were on his side. Froch didn’t want that ggg smoke. He didn’t want degale after hating Calzaghe for doing the same thing.

Froch was absolutely elite, It takes an elite mindset dedication and discipline to achieve what he did through sheer grit and determination, arguably more impressive than ones who are born with athletic ability and raised from birth to box, And to be honest Carl is one of the most fluid well spoken knowledgeable people in boxing, He just says it how it is and a lot of people can't bare that, evidently you fall into that category

READ CARLY! Lol Khan knocking one out on the internet was indeed humiliating and embarrassing but lets not forget Froch running crying to the press after AJ had been mean to him was almost as bad. Despite trying to put on a brave face, Carl looked more hurt than he'd ever done in a fight and his voice was clearly cracking with emotion. Honestly speaking, the entire episode was extremely CRINGEWORTHY and Carl lost a lot of fans and respect (including from those in the boxing industry) after the whole event. Therefore, if Khan, AJ and others have called him out for the EXACT same things in the past, maybe the problems with him?! Another thing, besides the Prescott KO, Khan's biggest stoppage losses came against TOP P4P fighters like Canelo, Crawford and Garcia at the time as he was always chasing glory. Carl himself only really faced ONE P4P great during his career in Ward and was completely outclassed. The only difference being Froch has a chin and Ward was a light puncher. Anyhow, if Carl had faced multiple top p4p fighter's like Khan, he'd also have a few losses on his record!

I remember there were some digs between Khan and Froch going back when Froch was still active, but I didnt really care what it was about because there was no chance of them fighting, obviously. When I watch boxing, I love watching dramatic and entertaining fights. Froch and Khan both provided that on a regular basis throughout their careers, win or lose. That's what it's all about for me.
