Parsons needs to learn to let the guest speak. It’s okay to let the conversation flow without having to constantly interrupt with questions he has written down. You can see that Troy and Amir are really getting on in this one but Parsons hasn’t built that connection.

I was really looking forward to listening to this as Amir Khan is a real British sporting icon. However, it’s a shame that it was ruined by the hosts’ constant interjections, interruptions and talking over each other incessantly. I tried to persevere through it but I had to turn it off after 15 minutes. You guys need to learn some podcast etiquete and let your guest speak. It’s not about you.

During the time of Amir's come up, we had the likes of Danny Williams, Audley Harrison, Matt Skelton etc making the headlines for British boxing. Those who try to deny Amir Khan his credit are either revisionists or just pure haters, simple.

An absolute legend of the sport. This man deserves his flowers for his achievements inside the ring, reached the pinnacle of the sport in both the amateurs and pro game, won the junior olympics, won an Olympic silver at 17 fighting grown men, Amir was a sole representative of Team GB, his success allowed Team GB to secure funding for clubs across the country, to then turning pro and winning a world title at 22 and becoming unified. Gave us some amazing nights, boxed the best time after time, ducked nobody, resume speaks for itself, headlined at Las Vegas, MGM Grand, and became a household name in the UK and America, he inspired a generation of British Pakistani fighters who are now coming through at grassroots level and at pro level, many who are signed with Matchroom and Queensbury/Frank Warren - unreal in his prime, what a legacy and career!

Just some friendly advice to the interviewers , when you ask a question be patient enough to hear the entire response and answer, Amir was speaking about Brook giving a detailed answer but half way through you guys cut him off and ask another question, you did the same when he talked about his training with Bomac and his fight with Presscot, try be more patient guys let a fighter finish his response then you'll get a much better interview it also shows respect its rude to interupt someone while they're responding to you. Couldve been a much better interview.

The disrespect he gets from Uk fight fans is disgraceful. He has a 34-6 record. 11-5 against world champions. Olympic silver medalist 🥈 at 17! Secured GB boxing funding for future generations. 2x unified world champion! Headlined all over the world. Carried 🇬🇧 boxing from 2005-2012/14. £60m + in the bank with god knows how many other investments. All his faculties in check. Love him or hate him, he’s an absolute legend of 🇬🇧 boxing, fully enjoying his retirement. 🫡 the chin comments are massively overhyped. Watch the Maidana fight. Most people hate him coz he’s a Pakistani muslim.

Khan got overtrained by Bo Mac in Nebraska, blew his shoulder (hence why he had cupping marks on his right shoulder in the weigh in), and it's possible the drug was to help him with that injury. It wasn’t his chin. His defence was just non existent
@eddy56215 сағат бұрын
@ what are you talking about. Keeping your chin all the way in the air is apart of his defence😂 he literally has been dropped by the first significant punch in a lot of his fights. That’s not a lack of defence that’s no chin resistance
@squidguard115 сағат бұрын
@@eddy562 yeah that’s my point. Take canelo for example, even when he gets hit ‘clean ‘ look at his stance; his legs are underneath him, he’s grounded, he’s still shellled up so he absorbs shots better. Amir has no defence, his legs are all over the place sometimes he crosses his feet, he can only blitz in and blitz out at one pace so he’s predictable to being timed and countered. If anyone fought like Amir and defended shots the way he does they would also be knocked out as many times. At that level everyone has a bad chin, because if those guys connect flush it’s game over, it’s just some guys learn how to roll/flow with punches or use good defence to mitigate being tagged clean. His chin wasn’t his biggest problem, it was his shaky defence and reckless style
@fightfanUK6 күн бұрын
An Olympian at 17 and a bonafide unified world champion. Fought at multiple weights and would have easily have become 2 weight world champ if he didnt take the Cancelo fight. A future hall of famer with incredible wins over Barrerer, Kotelnik, Judah, Malanagi, Maidana and shared the ring with canelo and crawford.
