That you have never heard of Amira is extraordinary. She has millions of fans around the world. Her songs/arias have been played 100s of millions of times. Her repertoire includes arias, classic crossover, hymns, musicals, etc. She is fluent in Dutch (her own language), English and Afrikaans, but has sung in around 10 languages. About nine years after this Andre introduced another singer, Emma Kok (now 16). You Tube recently presented her with their Diamond Award for achieving 50,000,000 hits for her song Voila. Her song. Dancing on the Stars is already in the millions. She is currently touring the world with Andre and the JSO. I mention Emma, hoping you will not wait 10 years to discover her. She was on HGT at 9 yrs old and up until that time she was self-taught. Watch her HGT vids O'mio Babino Caro, Ave Maria, and Nessum Dorma. In the first vid she explains how and why she began singing opera. Btwn her first and second appearance, HGT set her up with a voice coach for one lesson before her second performance. Before she sang with Andre Rieu, she had one masterclass lesson with him. This girl is one-of-a-kind. On a trip to South Africa for a couple concerts, she saw some poor underfunded schools with no playgrounds. She formed a foundation to build school playgrounds for the kids, which she funded with half of her earnings from performing. To date, she has built 18 playgrounds for the poorest schools. She also has a very strong faith in God and thanks him for her musical talent. This is why many fans think of her as an Angel! She is loved by many millions of people all around the world.

Yes Amira has grown up, her beautiful voice has matured, she has the heart of an Angel (founded a charity after winning Holland’s got talent, building playgrounds in poor townships in South Africa, donating half of all her earnings) and she sings like one!

The lady in the audience, who you said “looks like she’s in shock “ is Patsy Kensit an actress and singer from here in the UK……In the late 90s she was married to Liam Gallagher ( one of 2 brothers) of the band Oasis.

As I understand it, she saw people in the audience crying and didn't understand. Thinking that she had done something wrong, she immediately left the stage, after finishing and asked her family. They quickly explained that they weren't crying because she had done something wrong but because she did something very right. Then Andre called her back out to take her bows.

A great reaction to Amira Willighagen! I suscribed. By the way, Amira spoke about this unforgettable performance, that she did with André Rieu in Maastricht, during an interview she gave in 2017, which is available on YT. "I was not nervous or scared, because I only saw different colors of hair, I couldn't really see the heads, so I just looked above the audience and saw the spotlights and I sang like I did at home or on my bike"... A remarquable attitude at 10 years old, but of course her voice was outstanding already...

Oh yes, she has done a lot, and most of it is stunning. Six months earlier, when she won Holland's got talent, she was largely self taught. In those few short months she had started to receive coaching, and released her first album. I could give a long list of her video's, but I'll just make two suggestions for your enjoyment. - Ave Maria, Gomez. 2015 Gesu bambino. 2023. Both are spellbinding. Thanks for posting Amira, I love listening to her.

Amira was NOT 10 in this video, she was 8, look it up.

I don't do research before I react, but the information I was provided is that she was 10 years old. The performance was in 2014 and she was born in 2004. Of course, there could be months that make a difference; however, I don't actually think it matters all that much. She is very young at 8, 9, or 10. I would be no more impressed by an 8 year old than a 10 year old! 🙂

​@rjjsreactions-rk7zh definitely 10. She told the judges at HGT, that she was 9. That's when Andre Rieu first saw her. By the time she was available to sing at this concert, she'd had her 10th birthday.
